The Hunt For Security

Daniela sat on the rickety old rooftop. She had managed to get to the perch simply by becoming a bat. Most creatures would be incapable of such a feat but she was unlike most creatures. She, as she liked to remind her sister, was not common... She was immortal.
The area was dark and silent. Water could be heard, if one listened hard enough, moving at the bottom of the cavern, lapping against log and shipwreck alike. She was in a place called Undersigil Lake.
Below her an undead shape lumbered by. Its hollow eyes not noticing the silent vampire high above it. She emitted no life and would not draw its attention unless she made noise. She simply remained motionless, a talent most of her kind had, and let it wander by. Her eyes moved across the large cavern and spied runes and ruins alike. Many buildings sat falling apart but the foundations that they sat upon still looked strong. The docks and bridges still standing strong after countless years.
What happened to this place, she thought to herself? Why was it cursed as much as it was? Those were important questions. The reason being is she saw potential here, not only for her and her family, but also for others of her kind... Undead. The wrecks looked large so there must have been a large portal nearby for them to sail in... But from where? So many questions.
First thing first... Get rid of the cursed sailors... Or maybe simply control them.
She dropped from her perch, silent and deadly, and landed on one that just happened to pass by, a loud crunch of its head crushed under the weight of her warmace.
She needed to find others... Needed to find those she might be able to trust. She wasn't going to be able to do this alone... If at all.
//open thread for any undead that might be interested in a possibly impossible task... Taming Undersigil lake for an 'in Sigil' undead refuge and player housing area. Not saying it's gonna happen but might be fun to try for anyhow.
