Conflicting information seems to emerge in regards to the sudden and unexpected pairing of renowned womanizer Dom and newly single Kalina. Some say that the two were simply laughing and joking at the Foul Olde Spirit and decided to play a prank on their mutual friend Sondaal Ayakra. Others say that the two are under the effects of a strong love potion. Still others claim that the two found true happiness with each other, and that they make a fine couple.
Whatever the truth, the red-haired man and blonde woman can be seen wearing matching golden rings upon their left hands and seem to regard each other with affection and adoration. Their sugary-sweet terms of endearments for each other include "darling husband" and "lovely wife" - and they just can't seem to keep their hands to themselves!

Suingintou would raise her brows and state the following in her usual monotonoues, yet this time slightly startled voice.
"Dom does not wed without the other having the right size.

Piri hears the rumour and wonders how strong that love potion was that this girl Kalina made to manage to get Dom with a ring on his finger.
"Ah pooey..I fergot about gettin them papers sorted all that time ago.... I remember him...the fella with the fun magicks but his hair weren't long 'nuff...ah well, more fishies in the sea, more long-haired mages in the Cage, more magicks in the makin'...."
And she flits off thinking "Another one bites the dust" before hunting down her cousin Tixie to go play with the frosties.

Upon getting wind of the news, Jach Sensbane fumes in rage inside the kitchen of his manor.
Despite his various attempts to quell Dom's lusts (purchasing dirty books for him to read through, allowing him to womanize his housemaids, and even regularly visiting Mitzvak in Undersigil to acquire large amounts of Devilweed to keep Dom off his game), one of Jach's worst fears had been realized... or so he believed: The girl he considered his daughter had succumbed to the dastardly gigolo.
He slams his fists upon a freshly baked batch of butter tarts - mashing them into an unappetizing pulp.

After several days, the chant quickly spreads that the pair are not really married. The dark of it is that the deception was a result of an ultimatum given by Sondaal Ayakra, who herself is now missing in an unrelated incident.
But despite the claims of the entire marriage being a hoax, the matching golden rings worn by Dom and Kalina are still present upon their left-hand ring fingers.
