Lyra enters the hive tattoo parlour and approaches Lervak. With paper and pen readied, an obvious pouch of gold in her hand, she gives to him a note.
Lervak kept Lyra from streets many moons ago, gave roof, gave simple food to belly as child and allowed her to learn his trade in later years. Debt has been paid thousand fold by her work many moons over. Lervak knows she is good at piercing and tattoo. Lyra comes with coin to help Lervak with parlour repairs if so desired. Lyra offers her skill again to Lervak. Lyra offers both this jink and her skills in exchange for partnership in tattoo parlour, working 'with' him instead of 'for' him this time for equal share of profits, use of parlour and of her name in business venture.
Lyra would wait a while silently for his response.
