And then, after one day of leaving again to duty. Nica did not return.

The Harmonium fire giant Ygthil Emberblood has a letter delivered to the Weary Spirit Infirmary, intended for 'whomever was attending Measure Nica Brianna Kelter'.
Greetings, doctor. I am a soldier of the Harmonium, and must regretfully inform you that one of your patients, Measure Nica Brianna Kelter, has been slain by an operative of the Red Sigil. Normal methods of restoring life to a body have failed to work on her, and I write this letter with regards to an oddity that has been pointed out to me.

Another at the scene has pointed out to me that the failure of resurrection magic upon her body seemed to relate to something other than her will to live. I am no adept of magic myself, but this has piqued my curiosity and my hopes; if you are aware of any circumstances that may make this the case - some reason she could not be resurrected that may be subverted, then I request to hear of this. I can be reached at the Harmonium Barracks in the Lady's Ward.

Ygthil Emberblood,
Notary Three.

After her long days of activity now at the Taigh instead of the infirmary, An'aroluth could be seen taking advantage of the Taigh's several stores of alcohol. News had obviously reached her, and people asking her were usually met with similar responses: "No, I'm not surprised. Disappointed, saddened, upset, but not surprised. There's a reason why I changed my primary location of operations. I'll just leave it at that."

After hearing of the death of Measure Nica, Blues Green was briefly frustrated. They certainly felt that their own work to heal her was rendered useless. Part of the slaad wanted to take some grim satisfaction in the idea that her death could be partially blamed on her refusal to let them find a way to make her body regenerate. This satisfaction did not come, and they only found confusing emotions they could not quite grasp. After a short discussion with their peers in the Godsmen, Blues Green channeled their frustrations into action.

To begin with, they made eleven more of their enchanted gloves; as many as they could make, with more to come as they found more of the ingredients involved.

Next, they began to work on producing tools for use in mundane medical procedures. Needing a level of fine control for this, they begrudgingly used devices at their disposal to change shape into smaller beings as they produced their masterworks.

They expanded their knowledge of alchemical recipes; for a long time, they had disregarded many of them as being far too mundane and niche to be worthy of production. Now, they felt a mysterious compulsion to create them in large numbers. So they did; a large pile of assorted alchemical creations was made, and continues to grow in size.

They began to, once again, distribute their creations at the Weary Spirit Infirmary, the Gatehouse and the Outlands Warcamp. Always making sure that a stamp of the Godsmen symbol was somewhere in their deliveries.

Having been working on a few of the distant fronts, Saiyuu had become something of a scarce sight both in Sigil and its infirmaries. The priestess had figured that with so many hands helping in the city, she might as well help a bit elsewhere. Many fronts to take care of after all. Now she found herself returning to the odd sights of the city after the last stretch, staring up at the Torus with a tired squint. She was a Demon, she technically wasn't supposed to get tired. Then again it was more of a mental exhaustion if anything. Or spiritual. Spiritual? She technically had one. Or was one. Someone would have to inquire the specialists, she didn't much care about those details. Nonetheless, she needed to catch up on the latest news, see what was going on. All she had heard is that Sarin was dead, apparently. And that woman, Nica. Did she use all of her rejuvenating pills before she died? That was the thought that crossed her mind. Then the one that wondered whether the woman would be found in the goodly, Celestial Planes, or somewhere closer to the bottom like the Abyss. Maybe she could chat her up again someday. A shame that she died. She had a stick up her butt, but she seemed dutiful at least.

Thoughts for later. For now, rest called. The next day, she'd report again to the infirmaries to see if they had any new tasks to assign for her.

The war had kept the infirmaries - in and out of the city - very busy. But with the finding of the 4th blink, there had been a notable decrease in random violence through the city. Medical personnel in the Cage went from being completely swamped, to being able to tend more to the wounded from the warfront, and the occasional outlands refugee. . though with the re-taking of the Outlands, most refugees were starting to return home.

With two major battles worth of injured to attend to now, Blues Green redirected their efforts to the Outlands entirely. Serving at Ogden's Watch as well as the cities of Glorium and Excelsior once they were fully secured, Blues Green expanded their efforts. While they continued to produce healing supplies of both mundane and alchemical nature for the other medics, they began to take an active approach much more often.

Their carefully honed bardic arts were put to use; with the eccentric singing of this being from Limbo, bodies could be made to regenerate on their own, or to magically heal in quick bursts. When mundane healing was necessary, they turned their efforts towards improving the skills of medics...and their own. Using a 'Cloak of the Succubus', the slaadi changed their body into that of a succubus. Now having taken a nice, medium-sized body, they began to put their own knowledge of healing into practice. While by no means a dedicated doctor, they found it easy to augment their knowledge and abilities through various means, and gleefully tended to people's wounds in the form of a succubus with a remarkably un-sexy demeanor.

An'aroluth continued to do just as she had after Nica had been at the infirmary, and that was operating at the Taigh. However, she always had a blade nearby her lately, one she would only touch to move. Even in the case of belligerent patients, she would prefer to use words first, and failing that, let other people handle it. She hadn't yet reached for it in defense nor offense.
