After the meeting in the Hall of Speakers notices went up around town bearing the symbol of the Bleak Cabal:
Those who wish to volunteer for healing work in the coming conflict - in the city or on the field - should apply at the Gatehouse, or speak with Factor Ezra.
//This is a thread for those who are volunteering to help refugees, or do field work as medics in the coming conflict. There will be other threads for the other event-chains in the campaign. Each character should only join one event-chain (so if you post that your character is doing something here, they can't also simultaneously be joining another team/mission). Thanks! :)

Arloid Neverai, Being a seasoned adventurer from Toril that is skilled with both practical and mundane healing, and Divine magic, will put aside his time whenever he can to help with any one in the city being harmed by these "Invasions" and "Insurgents".

With no actual desire to fight, or adventure in any capacity, he will go to the Gatehouse to discuss how he can help. He is already attempting to establish a small outpost in the Hive ward as it is, helping the locals whenever he can, for free ofcourse.

Saiyuu, having already been notably involved in aiding at the Gatehouse ever since Amir recruited her aid, would visit the location mentioned in the pamphlet to sign up as a volunteer. It wasn't much different work from what she was already doing after all. Despite the woman being registered as a Succubus, a Demon, she seemed to have a considerable list of abilities that might make her viable for the medical team. Her Priestess training had entailed a necessary degree of knowledge of practical medicine as well as patient care, and she was exceptionally skilled when it moved to magical treatments as well. In the meantime she would continue to aid in the Gatehouse until called upon.

Abwan was an at-best odd frequency around the Gatehouse. He was no Bleaker, no healer, and his wisdom for the insane was rarely beyond small paternal anecdotes. No, his hands were often found around the soup kitchens, either cooking or clumsily ladling bowlfuls of soup out to the misfortune of the hive. It wasn't much, but it was honest work, and ever since the outbreak of Slimy Doom across the Hive he had made himself infrequent at best, thinking best to evade spreading any more of the disease than what already has.

Yet as the call for aid sounds, he answers again; granted, not as any healer. He has no talent for such things aside from slapping himself with a wand every now and then, no, instead his offerings are in simple grunt work. Beds need to be placed. Temporary housing needs to be organized. Boxes need moving and people need to be organized. Content to do so, he volunteers to help in the simple ways he can.

With the new research team added, characters have been shuffled around. Abwan is offering help where he can for the Gatehouse, but will be involved in the Harmonium Defense Events instead.

(User edit, shuffling a couple around in a way I think makes more sense to their character)
A drow elf in white robes comes by the gatehouse and speaks with Factor Ezra, giving her a polite bow, "Good afternoon. The name is An'aroluth. I'd like to let you know that I have been setting up an infirmary just a ways away in Taigh de Cath. I hope to have it ready by the time any actions start happening, but in the meantime for any immediate assistance needed, send word to the Taigh, and I will come to help. I am experienced in both magical and non-magical medicines. I will not require any pay for such other than the covering of the cost of medicines and materials to operate."

She left it at that, and turned and left immediately after barring that there was no questions presented to her. She returned to the Taigh soon after, and could be seen working doubly hard as she had before to clean up the area and get medical supplies and areas ready.

Not eager to go to the front lines given all he now has to lose, Dave Turnbull offers to put his limited healing skill to use at the Gatehouse.

Keleva stands in the Gatehouse courtyard for almost an hour, pacing and internally debating whether to even go inside. She's had enough issues with trust lately. Would the bleakers even let her in? Would the wounded refugees be better off without her? Eventually the succubus arrives at a decision, and heads in to volunteer as a healer. She has limited medical or triage training, but she's an effective magical healer.

In the worst case, she's almost equally skilled in violence, and could cover an evacuation should the forces of Red Sigil decide atrocities are on the table in total war.

An ever-present figure around the Gatehouse regardless, Factor Amir shifts some of his focus away from his usual work as a therapist in the Mad Bleaker's Ward and begins to aid stockpiling and preparation for what is to come.

Since the last council at the Hall of Speakers, the Hive had been unusually lively. Members of the Bleak Cabal, who would normally have kept their attentions either in the asylum or at the various soup kitchens, suddenly found themselves filling the ranks of a number of infirmaries.

One of these infirmaries was the relatively infamous Weary Spirit. The Cabal - along with many volunteers from other Factions and the Planewalker community- turned the old, dilapidated hospice into a functioning field hospital, both for civilians and the wars wounded, the latter of whom were already growing in number.

The recent fire in the Lady's Ward did little to alleviate the burden, nor did a sudden rash in gang violence across the Ward. The latter in particular seemed to produce a particularly curious patient; a githyanki who collapsed just as he entered the infirmary mere hours before the fire at the Baurier. He bore several stab wounds, and those who tended to him would easily conclude that poisoned blades had worked his flesh.

He only awoke the next morning. Though still weak, he was quite insistent that he -had- to speak with someone, -anyone- in charge.
I just want to kill monsters and get prizes for it. Is that REALLY so much to ask for?

Being present for her shift, Saiyuu accompanied the situation somewhat closely. Being among those who helped mend to the wounds and remove the poisoning, the Succubus had been lately been proving to be quite handy with not only magical means of healing, but also regular medicine. Unusual for a Demon, but the patients didn't seem to complain. Having noticed the agitation from the odd Githyanki, Saiyuu headed over to the bedside to attend to him. She had brought a glass of fresh water and tried to calm the man some. Hard to tell if it was a trait of her faith to Dionysus or her natural charm as a Succubus, but there was something about her aura that sought to soothe and calm the man and make him a little less agitated. That said, she did try to guide him over to speak to the one in charge of the infirmary, offering a wheelchair in case the man still happened to be weak.

Not that she'd ever tell anyone outloud but she always found strange to offer water to patients instead of wine. Wine would be so much better. But she didn't question how mortal medicine worked, and wasn't about to go giving people reasons to be needlessly wary of her.
