In Sigil's Lower Ward another day unfolds. Smoke from the many factories and workshops fills the sky, the shadow of The Foundry looms over the ward. Outside alehouse row two small boys roll marbles into a circle drawn of chalk, both of them trying to get theirs closest to the dot drawn in the centre. A gnome baring a Godsman Faction badge leaves one of the taverns and staggers a little drunkenly towards The Foundry. Three Harmonium officers make their way down the small street the opposite way to the gnome. Accounts of what happens next vary but they all agree on the following facts.
One of The Harmonium officers started to shout. The words "She'll flay us all because of him!" Were screamed over and over.He then levelled his halberd and charged at the two boys. Both of whom managed to scramble out of the way. He was briefly restrained by his two comrades before fighting his way free. He knocked the gnome over as he fled and ran towards The Hive.
The Harmonium have not released the officer's name but have issued a statement that this was an independent action by an individual and not an action sanctioned by The Harmonium. It is believed they are looking for their missing officer. The gnome is known well locally his name is Granp he is a Factotum of The Godsmen. A Dabus came to inspect the scene soon after. Neither of the boys have been seen again.
A Curious Occurrence

The rumors about the Harmonium officer were overheard by interested ears. Talks said that this officer was actually intending to kill the children after fleeing to the Hive to never be seen again.
Raila despised these intolerable leatherheads. She did not need anyone's nagging to direct her toward tracking down and roughing up lobster berks. This tiefling was happy to do this without asking for money.
So Cipher started moving through seedy alleys to scan chant. First, quippers. Unseen and all-seeing. They should have seen something...

When Hograth hears about this incident he will invite the two officers involved in this case to his office- for a cup of tea and some talk.
The half orc has seen many strange things on the planes and often things are not as they seem- perhaps the Notary was barmy, perhaps he really knew or saw something.
So he will question each of the witnesses individually and will also request a description of the boys.
Of course he also requests the file of the officer that is missing.

The warlock sat as his desk within the vaults of the Armoury drawing on a complex schematic with various coloured ink in a myrriad of lines and circles. Overhearing two bored guards relaying the incident jeeringly. " We should arm them with exlosives just for these occations." He added. A Dabus bodes well for those that seek to unlease every disaster there was to unlock he tought. That paired with the recent rumours of the returning far-realmers was enough to caught his interest. He would make an enquiry to Kala when next they met.

"Run for your lives! That witch is crazy!"
Deserted alley of Hive became even more empty, if that was possible. But there were still people in the shadows. One is a small time thug, hungry for coins and chant that makes them. The other?
Stronger thug. Much stronger one.
Heavy leather boot dug into bruised chest to turn over crawling man. There was no time for yelp, sole of foot slamming into ribs with audible sickly crack. Howl of pain was weak, bandit having no more strength to fight.
"Fweze... I phkaned no..."
"Sing to me who scanned, addle-cove." Violet eyes from under shade of cowl sparked at the words. The magic of cowl helped to make the point, illusion of sharp fangs appearing out of man's nightmare to make scowl even more terrifying.
"The rouge hardhead and the boy. Someone knows where they are." Gaunt woman put more pressure with her foot. "And I got free time."

Last time she ever considers aligning herself with Hardheads.
So Raila thought, listening to another slaad story of some bubber in Yawning Rat. Asking this one was a mistake. It did not look like he talked about the same thing. Somehow this gravitated from the unlikely answer to self-pity story of his life.
Pathetic.
Leaving the tavern, Cipher weighed down thoughts, then followed one closer to her impulses.
Who would miss two boys lost in Lower Ward? Surely they had some kind of parent figure. If not of love, at least because they brought something home. Looking through chants about cutters interested in this disappearance will probably yield something.

Chant breaks of a break in in The Lower Ward. Apparently at three hours after Anti-Peak a group of three or four broke down the door of a house. A boy and two large dogs were snatched and bundled out into the street and then dragged through a near by portal.
