To anyone who will hear the plea of an old woman:

Because of the new taxes imposed by the Takers, my son went out into the Bazaar to get some extra jink so that we wouldn't get arrested. I found out later that he was attacked by a Hardhead and a Mercykiller. Some locals tried to help resuscitate him, and though he retained his life, he is severely disabled, unable to walk or even communicate.

He was the breadwinner of the family- now I have no one to help pay the taxes, or even buy food and clean water. Please help.

Some of the ink is splotched in a radial pattern- indicating that some kind of clear liquid had been dropped onto the pages while the ink was still wet.
Although precautions are taken to ensure this was no ploy, the family would be brought under the care of the Revolution. Fed, protected. A promise from Phoenix.
