Hildmor orders his usual spies and the quippers Sister Zil now has under her control to spy on all the Demon Cults in the City, leaving as little trace of his involvement as possible. He also orders Raven to man up the defences and keep peery of any cultists entering the area...

***short letter sent to Hildmor in UnderSigil***
Lawyer DÂ’Kridis
It has been some time since we have spoken. Our agreements, while still active, need to be renewed.
I have a small window of inactivity in which I can meet to go over these things so we can concentrate on our own tasks without need to oversee such mechanical labors or fear complications.
I will contact you again in the next few days. Hopefully we can move things along accordingly.
Should you have reservations about things, or should you require further input before meeting, please leave contact as before.

*Lately Hildmor has found out that the communication stones he used to give out to his agents can be traced through magical means and such are possesed by some of his rivals, or less friendly factions. He destroyed every single communication stone he has, severing constant magical contact with his more trusted agents.*
//There are some ooc reasons for this but they should be better left with the parties involved.

As of late, a new character has been seen amongst Hildmor's entourage. The fire-haired warrior Sakrya can often be found in the his company, and seems to have quickly gained favor within the wizard's organization.
*Several weeks previous, Toril, Sembia, in the city of Ordulin...*
The sun was setting, casting long shadows over the city market district. Robert Wayne had just finished his last transaction of the day, and was counting his earnings in preparation to head home for the evening. A shrewd businessman and long one of Ordulin's distinguished traders, Wayne's countenance was greyed and wrinkled beyond his years from the stresses of his business, despite being only middle-aged.
Tallying the final coin, Wayne accounted for the day's earnings in his records, looking then to Baldris Doran, the imposing, bearded shadow of a man who had long worked as his bodyguard and assistant. "We are finished for today, Doran. Help me lock up." It wasn't long before the goods were secured, doors locked, wards set in place, and the pair set through the streets towards the merchant's home. Robert was feeling fairly good about himself. Today had been particularly profitable, and he looked forward to an evening of relaxation with his family and servants.
At length, just as the sun was sinking beneath the horizon, the merchant and his retainer arrived at the modest gated estate the the former called home. Surprisingly, there was no one attending at the front entrance, as Wayne was accustomed to. Shoving his suspicions aside, he allowed himself in.
What happened next was a blur. There was a flash as a red-clad figure stepped from hiding and delivered a succession of savage blows towards Baldris, knocking him unconscious before he was able to react. Wayne turned with a start, only to find a hand clasped around his neck. Paralyzed with shock, he could only stare at this assailant: a frighteningly tall woman in elaborate crimson armor with a matching cloak, a curtain of red hair reaching partway down her back, and a face that, under any other circumstances, he might have considered attractive despite her sharp features.
Before Robert could find words, she spoke. "Robert Wayne, I presume? Yes, you match his description." She smirked. "I'm here on behalf of a one Hildmor d'Kridis." Some of the color faded from Wayne's face and he ceased struggling against the woman's grip. "Oh, and I wouldn't bother calling for help if I were you, your family and servants are... indisposed.
"W-what d-do you want?" He stammered.
"I think you know full well why I am here. You made a business arrangement with my employer, and you have failed to uphold your end of the bargain." Her grip released somewhat, enough for him to become aware of how long and sharp her fingernails were.
"Y-you're going to kill me, aren't you?"
"If that is why I were here, you would already be dead, I'm not one to needlessly prolong one's suffering. No, no, I think there may still be a chance to salvage this while arrangement. To kill you without allowing you at least a sporting chance at it would be a waste."
Wayne found the violet-eyed gaze of the woman unnerving, there was something different about her, unnatural... he peered nervously about the foyer of his home, attempting to avoid eye-contact with his assailant. "W-what do you propose?"
"Quite simple... you are to pay back what you owe Sir d'Kridis." Seeing she had his attention, she continued. "We can do this one of three ways. If you can settle the debt of thirty-six thousand gold coins right here and now, I'll leave and we can forget this whole thing ever happened." She cast a scrutinizing gaze at him, seeing by his reaction that this particular option would be unlikely to work.
"The second option, is for you to repay your debt over time... with interest..." She continued. "...And the third? Well, suffice to say that involves me taking your head back with me in a bag." She parted her lips in a nasty grin, showing her teeth to be abnormally pointy, causing Wayne to shudder involuntarily, his whole body shaking.
"...so, what'll it be?" She announced at length, not relaxing her hold on the man's neck.
"I... I don't have enough... to ... pay all of it ... back... now..." He gasped, partly through the firmness of her grip, and partly out of fear.
"I thought that might be the case. So I went ahead and prepared an incentive for your cooperation." Her lips relaxed back into a menacing smirk. "Before you arrived, I took the liberty of having your wives and daughters relocated to a... secure location..."
All remaining color fled from Robert's face, and words failed him.
"So long as you uphold your end of the bargain and work towards repaying your debts, they'll not be harmed. However, if you do not... well... suffice to say that a lifetime of slavery is perhaps the kindest fate they might have in store."
Wayne was in shock, grasping at something, anything he could say. "You... you're bluffing."
"Am I?" The woman raised her other hand in front of his face. On her fingers were several rings that he could not mistake for anything other than having belonged to his wives.
Starting down at the unconscious body of his vanquished bodyguard, whom this stranger had so easily dispatched, he stammered. "I... I'll do it! Just don't... don't hurt my family... tell d'Kridis I'll pay back everything I owe him, and more."
The woman smiled. Her expression was sincere, but circumstances showed it to be menacing all the same. "I trust you will. Hildmor d'Kridis will have what he is owed, one way or another."
Reaching into a pocket in the lining of her cloak, she withdrew a scroll of parchment, shoving it irreverently into one of the merchant's pockets. "That will make the details of our arrangement clear enough for you. Now, if you'll excuse me, I've other business to attend to."
With that, she released him, causing Wayne to drop weakly to his knees. "Pleasure doing business - and I should hope for your sake that we'll not be seeing one another again."
The woman in red turned and quickly left through the door he had entered through only minutes before. He dared to cast a gaze back, only to find her already gone.
He searched for words, but could only find one.
"Shit."
