(IC:)
Gossip by now has spread that the Harmonium have lost an important Factotum who supposedly chartered many of the recordings of the Harmonium criminal affairs and details of their current-on-goings and monitoring.
Theres chant that theres a group of mercinaries looking to have an important package moved through customs, unsavory types they are paying very high sums of jink to have that package successfully transported.
The Harmonium on the other hand are not offering any coin but the respect of their faction to anyone who would provide civilian information as to the wareabouts of Factotum Diana and any leads that could bring them closer to finding and recovering her from her predicament.

(Anarchist Side/Mercinary Side Players:)
You find yourself in the company of a group of rowdy men, one with a thick (Australian) Gutter accent greets you and calls himself Shark. The long-blonde, blue-eyed, tanned skin male Human has a job for you as a package delivery agent. He promises big jink and alot of reputation going in certain circles for you if you succeed in the task.
If you take a genuine interest, after being inspected carefully for any riggings, undercover equipment, your taken up to a private room in Muriel's Tavern that appears to be under renovation. There, a humanoid sized box is found and appears to be a little sentient, occasionally you swear it moves.
Sharky looks to you, and offers you a very healthy sum of 50K Jink, in return, you have to deliver the box from the tavern all the way to the Lower Ward, without getting caught by the Hardheads.
He notes the task wont be easy, but the reward will be more than worth its weight.
If you accept at this point, he bids you good luck and lets you to it, but he also asks you not to open the box, before he leaves, he notes its been rigged with explosives so that if anyone should do so, it will explode and kill the immediate one responsible aswell as destroy the cargo inside.

(Harmonium/Civil Vigilante Side Players:)
You meet with Measure One Alice Kordiva in the Harmonium Barracks reception, she escorts you to Mover Tonat Shar to tell you more of the predicament.
Tonat tells you that they are looking left right and center for their comrade and have dispatched one team of Harmonium (Players) to the field. However, he will also confesses that he needs a small group of vigilante's against the better protest of Kordiva, to find the woman they are trying to get back.
He notes for Kordiva to project an illusionary spell to project an image of Diana's last known physical appearence for you to memorise. Then, he asks you to look anywhere you can for the girl, or for anything suspicious that could lead them back to her. He notes that life is more important than the treasures she knows, but her information is valueable to the Harmonium and it is vital that both her information and her life are returned to them in one peice.
If you agree to the task, you are asked to rally with anyone else willing to help and commence a patroll of less watched areas such as The Hive and The Lower Ward.
At this point, you are beset upon by a narcotic toxin that spreads throughout the ladies, the hive and the lower-ward which immediatley tests you (Advanced Choking Powder with a 21 DC). This causes a riot amoung the populace which you are forced to either dispatch or calm while commencing your search.

(The PVP Rules, and OOC Details from this point onwards:)
The matter will be attended to as a PVE event primarily, but one or two players may inavertly end up being on the other side of the field against each other, in which case, roll emotes will be commenced for fairness sake.
When engaging an opponent you will begin with 5 lives, first, you will roll 1 dice of 1-20 and the highest number will automatically begin the fight even if the attacker tries to launch first, your enemy might notice and start a counter-attack to retaliate.
After this, the winning roll will make the first emote, our combat rules have been simplified, see this topic for refference to understand the manner in which they are done:
http://z13.invisionfree.com/nwn2planesc ... topic=3094

In addition:
The one who wins the initative will always make the first attack and then the next odd number afterwards, put simply, if you won first then you will also get the third roll, and the fiveth roll to make your move.
The defence will get every even number thus: the second roll, the fourth roll the sixth roll etc.
Who ever wins five rolls first wins the match, the defeated is then forced to retreat or be left to the fate of their enemy to decide what they do with them.
E.g.
Both roll initative, the highest number is The Attacker.
Attacker gets rolls 1, 3, 5
Defender gets rolls 2, 4, 6
Who ever wins 5 rolls has wounded or crippled the other party too severely to continue.

Pay attention to this part.
(Perma Death rule is still subjective and thus, we will not permit players to perma-kill other players without logical circumstances I.E. you were defeated but you attempted to attack your enemy when you're clearly to weakened to continue. It should be noted we do not force Perma-Death on anyone, we rather like to think that common-sense should be applied to such scenerios, if your beaten, you're beat, end of story. So either retreat, or your enemy will decide how to tourture/spair you as they please. Its a fair trade-off considering common-sense.)

The event will begin Saturday the 12th of Febuary at 12AM (Midnight) GMT.
Oh, to clear up confusion I suppose that would make it Sunday the 13th of Febuary at 00:00AM. It will not be tonight, my mistake.

I will also be keeping an eye out for player balance, so if the Anarchists have too many comrades, we will spawn Harmonium patrolls to balance this.
If the Harmonium have too many comrades, we will start creating rioters and bombings to counter-this.

Most importantly: such faction events are meant to be enjoyed, and while we have set the groundrules, we simply want to make the experience fair and enjoyable for everyone, so please, feel free to put your hand in the cookie jar and enjoy the event :).

((There may have been confusion about the date of this event being tonight, that was my mistake. What I meant to say was 11:59AM Saturday which would be 00:00AM Sunday morning, I appologise for any misunderstanding.

To keep that simplified:

12:00AM Saturday Night, Tommorow.))

((At this point id like a check to see who is fighting for what side, Do not post this privatley. Post it here so that others can see aswell, that way, we know who you will be interacting with as allies and who you will likley encounter as enemies.
No, you may not meta-game that in character, but it will at least give a clear-cut view of who is on what side out of character.
If you do not post these details then when it comes to prepairation time it wont be clearly known who is interested in being involved and who would prefer to stay on the side-line.
If you do not post your name here, I will assume untill told otherwise you are not interested, if that is the case I would advise that during the time of the event you spend your time traveling in the planes, or hanging around the Bazaar, as there will be much chaos in the other regions untill the event is over, of course, a shout will be notified to declare who won and regulations will be kept in very fair balance.
I may likley bring a second DM with me to keep the event in check and manage one of the two groups while I tend to another. It will be better this way in order to prevent too much server confusion.))

I'm simply going to say Phoenix. Some folks still don't know who he actually is (PC wise) so unless they're involved in the event, I'd like to keep it that way. He's 21st level.
