A day as unto all others since she had found herself far from her homeland and thrust into a strange and alien land. She had been made to witness the horrors of Hell itself. She had been guided to bask in the holy radiance of Heaven itself. Although her feet did not hurt from the journey her heart ached and her shoulders felt heavy from the burden she carried.
Certainty had left her heart to be replaced by doubt. So many contradictions, were her eyes themselves lying to her now? Had she gone mad and lost herself within the mazes of her own mind? Truths she had held as immutable were shaken daily. Still she did not falter in her devotion or piety naturally but it all troubled her so.
She sought to be righteous and virtuous. To uphold the creeds of chivalry in all actions and to bring justice and hope where the need was greatest. The knight of Britannia never surrendered her oaths or her dutiful service to Heaven even if stranded far from her beloved homeland.
Everything changed today. Words were exchanged which forced truths she was unprepared to accept upon her. However the song echoed within her ears and deep down her heart whispered that it was as she had been told by the woman Nienna. It all made too much sense. Fit too neatly within what she had seen. Explained away all the contradictions with the sacred scriptures of the Lord.
And if it were all accurate then her sin and shame was both great. Although she had acted in good will and with naught but the desire to redeem and bring salvation to evildoers who most needed Heaven's purifying light she had still been misguided and deceived.
And for that she felt guilt. For as a noble Knight of the realm and an humble servant of Heaven she expected more from herself. She held herself to the highest standards as no less would do. Noble blood cried out for a noble soul and how could she not answer the call of her ancestry? To do such would be tantamount to treachery.
She could not even contemplate such a devious deed. And yet still she felt lost. She lacked proof and certainty. Where she once held unshakable conviction she now could only warm herself with faith and piety.
Though great it cannot be enough. As the wielder of one of Heaven's holy blades she must seek the truth and hold it shining bright within her chest. No less will do. This state of doubt could not last. And her guilt could not be ignored.
Now she walks to the portal she knows leads to Heaven, the place Nienna called Mercuria, where she will go as a modest pilgrim. There she will supplicate and humble herself in front of the altar within the cave blessed in the divine radiance of Heaven. Her prayers would rise past her lips and she would meditate upon her situation.
She seeks guidance. She seeks forgiveness and absolution for her mistakes.
She feels lost.
Now, she turns to her patron. She turns to Heaven.
Will none answer the holy champion's plea?

OOC: So yup! I'd love to play out the rest of this scene IG. Altria could really, really, use some form of divine guidance and/or help from the celestial agents of Mount Celestial to help her discern the truth and the righteous course of action at this point. She doesn't want to stray from justice or virtue and she's exhausted her other means of discerning the proper path.
If there's any purpose to her presence in Sigil far away from her beloved homeland, then it's about time she gets some inclination, yeah?
I'd be extremely grateful if a DM could take this on!
