Noises coming from the laboratry in the hive.

Lately ,the hive ward lab seems to have wierd noises coming from it. In a small seperate Rented room explosions are heard ,and loud spell casting. The door is not locked and if one wanted to ,they could peek in and ask the small blonde halfling what in the nine hells hes doing.
The hin would answer
"I am trying to ,put enough ,but not to much magic into a staff so that when I want to its not a un-handy staff anymore but becomes something along the lines of a armoured gauntlet around my hand!"
He would simply try and cast emporing spells on the staff ,and when over charing a cheap staff ,he would get a new one. He would stay there for quiet alot of time to find a way to put just enough energy into the staff so its not over charged ,but enough charged.

((If DMs wonder if crake even has nearly enough capabillty to create this "Enchantment" of sorts ,he is a sorc , 9th circle spells able , 24 spell craft and around 6k of cash atm. ))
