Periodically, people passing through Sigil hear "buzzing" noises, soft and distant. They happen at any time, and any place, but seldom do people hear it together.
Rumors spread that the Transcendent Order must be up to something "big" in celebration of their Factol's Day, in the upcoming month of "The Pivot." But the Order wholeheartedly denies this, saying that they never plan anything this far in advance. To do so would be an affront to their spontaneous lifestyle.
Other rumors suggest that the Sensates are planning to let their month, Savorus, go out with a real BANG--or a BUZZ, as the case may be. But yet again, the Sensates also deny any mischief.
Those who have yet to hear the sound often call others crazy. Barmy. Insane. Already, the Bleak Cabal has begun to suffer larger throngs of people at its Gatehouse, all of them claiming to be hallucinating, or that they know someone who is.
