Slow flicker of lighting, shifting from the hues of yellow, to blue, to yellow again over head in the darkened confines of the space below it. The systems emergency lights, warning a would be pilot or helmsmen the particular codes.
Yellow for arcane fuel cells dying of power. One crystal to the right of the engine had burned out some months ago.
Blue for the barely contained breach that been made to the core of the engine, where fire had nearly consumed all of the entities essence. The heart of the vortex that controlled the ship was the spirit of living elven wood, grown to its current shape. Regeneration was slow and painful without the aid of the pilot.
Ash covered the glass steel, the planks, plants, hybrid of pipes and trees meshed together but now blending in color.
Hardly anything had been moved since the pilots crash. Shattered vials from alchemists sets, broken steam vents hissing mist into the atmosphere . Fortune that the natural tree system cleaned the toxins and made it still breathable. Doubly so for the second occupant that been left waiting.
Though the last few days had been had been different. Slow conversations it had with the ship had suddenly stopped ceased to be . It gave a sigh that expelled wisps of aether

Quinn turns up at the Siren's Song late in the cycle. A few days have passed since his initially inquiry to Captain Andor regarding hiring the Siren's Song and her crew for an urgent errand. He bears with him an unconscious male elf with white hair, known to most cagers as a merchant by the names Vashtalla or Argent. The elf's head has been bandaged.
On arrival he would knock at the cabin door, seeking to speak with Dace or Sasha directly in regards to the errand at hand.
"You have my gratitude for the rapid response. We would have arrived sooner but it seemed unsafe to move the patient until today. At least one other party should be arriving shortly. I do hope this is not too great of an inconvenience?
I would be happy to discuss the details more thoroughly if you wish. We could also work out appropriate compensation while we wait for Miss Vara to arrive."

Brynn would answer the door, always happy to see Quinn. She is marginally less happy to
see the unconscious Vashtalla -- a soul as tortured as she, in such a state. She lets Quinn in,
and makes a place for Vashtalla on the sofa, in the helm room, using blankets and pillows
from the nearby bedroom to make it as comfortable as she can.
"Oi'll le' the Cap'n know you're 'ere, Quinn. I's good to 'ear from you, even if strai's are so
diah."
She makes a point to stay away from the unconscious patient and his soft-looking neck, so
as to keep herself from temptation.

Brindas would arrive, looking rather flush, as if he came as soon as he heard he was being looked for.
"Is he any more responsive? Would you like me to ask him anything?" The psion glanced from person to person, finally casting his gaze towards Argent.

Dace looked quizingly at the new arrival, and in fact Odette, whom until this day he had seen but never actually engaged in conversation with.
"Quinn, while I appreciate the urgency of the moment, perhaps you should get us all acquainted here. I assume everyone whose followed in will be traveling with, yes?
As for finding this vessel... well, if it is in the Astral plane, we might have a way to help with the search. We've a mirror up here that allows you to view places in the Astral. Its not the most efficient way to find one single ship in an entire plane, but its how we relocated ours, so maybe it'll help.
Anyhow... lets get him someplace comfortable at least, then get about preparing to sail out." He turns to Aeon and Brynn. "Aeon, keep him in your room for the moment till we can get something else set up, keep him safe and out of the way while everyone get things in order. Once he's in set aside what mind wards we have in the library just in case. Brynn, need you to run a message back to headquarters about our departure, just say we're pursuing a lead in the Astral and leave it at that. If possible, try to bring back some medical supplies, I reckon we'll need those for our jaunt."
He turns back to Quinn. "We'll target a departure for tomorrow night, earliest I can imagine without being clumsy." He looks over to Quinns company. "Anyone else coming with?"

Brynn snaps off a crisp salute!
"Yes Sir, Oi'll be roigh' back."
And with a brief twist toward the door that sends her cloak billowing out behind her,
Brynn discorporates into a cloud of mist and slips outside through the cracks between
the doors Siren's and the interior of the hull, drifting down to street level, and striding
down the street toward the Lady's Ward, solidifying into her corporeal form during the
first few steps.
Upon reaching the Prison, she knocks three times upon the door of Factor Charae's
office.
"Factah Charae, d'you 'ave a momen'?" she calls through the door.

Sasha came down the ladder to the helm room, and grimaced with worry at the sight of the unconscious elf on her sofa.
"Hello Qui- . . oh dear, what happened?! This isn't our passenger, is it?"

"Ah. Good to see you Sasha."
The aging wizard offers a bow of his head to their gracious host before continuing. After a moment or two he turns to study the elf, hand folding behind his back.
"Yes. This unfortunate fellow would be the passenger as well as the reason for the urgency of our trip.
The exact description of his current condition is rather convoluted. The shortest explanation would be that he suffered severe head trauma while remotely interfacing with the helm of his own spelljammer. The resulting feedback seems to have been the cause for his current catatonic state.
We believe directly accessing his jammer may hold the key to his recovery, thus it is imperative that it be located as soon as possible. Vara believes we may be able to scry it out if closer to it's presumed location."
Turning to face the two women once more, he turns his palms up and offers a frail smile.
"This is why I requested your assistance."
