Sigil: City of Doors

To say the state of Rond Undt's journal is in some sort of disarray would be something of a significant understatement. Obsessive scribblings paired with chicken-scratch commentary going off in odd directions make for pages that look closer to one from a book made purely to test out pens than a personal diary. However, one such assortment of scribbles and barely legible musings appears to have found a temporary reprieve from the madness in the form of a new page, hastily written in between weaving past umber hulks and displacer beasts.

Contents are as follows: one (presumed) cheese likely not fit for consumption, one vial of Terran Brandy (save for personal use?) likely still fit for consumption, one ioun stone (rose?), one rapier enchanted with elemental water, and eleven 'Mumble' scrolls.

It's times like these that owning a map probably would have been a prudent decision. Aimless wandering would eventually lead to the Lower Ward and the genasi had been in the general vicinity in the past. Finding a specific place, on a specific street in a specific ward might prove to be slightly more difficult than finding a portal by pure happenstance.

Asking for directions remains an option.[/i]

After several hours of wandering around the Lower Ward - and nearly choking to death in a particularly foul and smoggy alley - Rond eventually found what appeared to be 4235 Lower Harmle Street.

Of course, whether it WAS or not was open to some interpretation. But it was definitely underneath upper Harmle Street.

Regardless, the genasi found himself in front of a very old warehouse built of wood and stones, and on the verge of collapse. The most interesting thing about this (all too common) site in the Lower Ward is that on some investigation it appeared to be built on top of the ruins of a much older, studier, building - a building which must have been constructed when the street was on a yet lower level, because the 'foundation' of the warehouse looked a great deal like the roof of something else.

There was only one door left of the warehouse double doors, and it sagged and creaked sinisterly (or invitingly, depending on your point of view) on its hinges.
