The chant spreads through Sigil that Officer Raifael Degare kidnapped and attempted to murder the young married couple, Dom and Kalina. Whereas Dom managed to somehow escape with limited injuries, Kalina purportedly suffered through serious internal duress after being forced to consume a magical toxin.

The young woman is now said to be resting and recovering at the home of her father, Jach Sensbane, in the Lady's Ward. However, the errant officer - whom is said to be possessed by an unknown evil entity - is still at large.

Granite frowns upon hearing the news one day as he sits nurseing a cup of Muriels hearty stew. He was still on the road to recovery though it was nearly at an end. He was almost back to normal health though it would be sometime before he could handle the strain of battle, but eventually....

He sat up upon the ladies bed who had been giving him a safe harbor over the past week, careing for him while he regains his Earth Genasi like fortitude. The news of the attempt on Kalina and Doms life angered him (and cost him one of his favorite tea cups). He had been the first target of Raifaels new disposition and it had left him near death, and now he was targeting other people. He sighed and reached over to the night stand and picked up his Harmonium insignia and rubbed it between two fingers.

He knew what had to be done, the man has tainted the Harmoniums public image FAR to much now, and he had to be brought to justice. Granite had always been neutral when adminstering Harmonium justice but this time was far more then professional, this was personal as well.

He stared at the insignia for a long moment, then placed it back upon the night stand as lady Ixia came into the room.

When he was better, hopefully soon he would hunt Raifael down and bring him before the Harmonium, dead or alive.

No sooner has the previous chant made its rounds when a new travesty occurs. Fire erupted outside the Sensbane estate, heavily damaging one side of the dwelling and destroying much of the fine landscaping and ornamental statues.

When the fire is thwarted and the smoke has cleared, grim information is revealed: despite the heroic attempts of her husband and friend, Raifael Degare and an accomplice snatched Lady Sensbane from the safety of her very room.

All attempts to scry or discern her location result in fuzzy, swirling nothingness.

Upon hearing the news Gwynnithe runs around town using her ability to detect spirits with the help of her spirit guide. While she has no clue where Kalina would be taken, she's sure that if the man was truly possessed like it was claimed she would be able to sense the malevolent spirit's presence when near. Deep down she knew there were more rational courses of action but in the heat of the moment and with emotions rising she set off to do a hero's work, something she was not.

*Nicholas Millin quietly studies the remains of the attack, sometimes kneeling down and looking over pieces of debris. He makes notes, and takes his time, despite the rather obvious shake in his hand and downright dark features on his face. After about an hour, he stands and turns, taking one glance back and then setting out, to search for the missing woman*

Aras walks by the house on the way to her early morning shift in the courthouse before coming to an abrupt halt staring at the ruined villa. " . . . Oh bleeding Hells, I will have to try and track her down. I suppose the first step is questioning the Harmonium that were there." She then continues on her way her face bearing a determined expression as she mulls over the possible places the rogue Harmonium could have taken her.

D'elys Vholl leans against the barracks wall, amusement showing in his dark half-drow features as another patrol jogs past, the sergeant in charge gripping the writ of arrest. The comment coming to his mind one that he'd hardly willingly share with the Factols. Another group of brainless fools wasting their time looking for the traitor... he may have played false, but he's not idiot enough to be keeping the girl in Sigil. No, it's likely we've seen the last of him for a while... and the last of her period. Thank the spheres that I'm not a patroller; failure is hardly my style. A thought springs in the back of his mind, lending a rather calculating look to his jade-green eyes and a further curl to his lips.

Ahh, but if he does... yes, we must make sure our wayward brother gets the homecoming he deserves. Turning with military precision, the slouch transforms into a far more fitting bearing, long strides taking him up stairs and around corners, past the suites of Factol Sarin and to a special room set aside for a specific purpose. The cunning mechanism on the back of his badge releases the odd lock on the door, and glancing from side to side to ensure himself alone in the corrider, the Harmonium Inquisitor slips inside the stark room. His helmet is set upon the strap-festooned chair in the room's center as he moves to the side table, not bothering with the single hanging lamp but letting darkvision guide him as he sorts through the boxes there, mumbling softly to himself as he imagines sharing his reasoning with the hardheads' second-in-command. Even you would agree, Factor Tonat, that we need to find out the reasoning behind this before he meets the Mercykillers' gibbet... using whatever means necessary.

Severely wounded by the traitorous Harmonium, Ixia Larkspur - who was visiting Kalina at the time - was seen carried from the burning building by a very pissed off Dom. Brought back to the inn, her wounds were mostly tended to and she has been spending some time resting, if only to be well enough to aid in the rescue of Lady Sensbane.

She is clearly upset by the ordeal, but instead of throwing a tantrum and raging as she tends to do, she has been oddly quiet about the whole thing.

Gwyn furiously shouts at the harmonium asking for higher and higher representatives to be sent to yell at until they physically kick her out or worse.

She would later try and commune with her spirit guide asking her for advice. The image of a woman forms in her mind, an old woman to be specific. Magdelin is what Gwynnithe dubbed her, or Maggie for short.

"Maggie... Maggie my friend Kalina is missing. She might be hurt! Please Maggie, if there's any help the spirits can offer, a path to walk... There's so much light, love and color in her heart to be shared..."
