The House Of Six Fingers

Visitors and residents alike to the Hive Ward would notice a fair amount of construction and renovation work being done in and around a long derelict building sitting beside an ill-used alleyway, which due to construction has now been blocked off by a small extension of the building itself.

A wide assortment of people can be seen coming to and from the place, running errands or helping the workmen with the renovations. Some obviously fiendish in nature, some humans, dwarves, halflings, even aasimar can be counted amongst those seen.

A pair of burly men, one clearly half-giant while the other has a trace of fiendish blood, guard the doors of the building, which now bears an elaborate green and black banner reading:

"Coming soon, The House of Six Fingers!"

A note requesting a meeting with whomever controls the distribution and creation of Sensory Stones finds its way to the Festhall in the Bazaar, with directions to send the reply or representative to the House of Six Fingers in the Hive

Naya'il is notified of the request by one of the Society's Factotum's who read and recieved the letter and is invited and tasked to visit the House of Six Fingers as representative and Namer of the Sensates Faction to find out what the requirement for the sensory stones is for.

Naya'il met with Miss Sixthfinger and had quiet talks to determine her request. Naya tried to keep her own personal views over the purpose for the House and use of the Sensory stones in check. She was there as representative for the Society. It was for those higher up in the Faction to make their determinations upon the basis of her report.

She put quill to parchment, in neat flowing script wrote letter to the Factotum who had invited her to attend to this meeting and task.

A curious sight can be seen from both the Hive and Bazaar as, on an irregular, but frequent basis, the proprietor of the House of Six Fingers can be seen leading a small group of individuals (some armored, some not, mostly male with a few women and others of unidentifiable sex) to the Gymnasium and the Arena within. Each time the group seen is somewhat different, as there at all times remain guards around the House. Inside the Arena of the Gymnasium, Mistress Maelfina can be seen holding group training sessions, teaching both individually and through the use of sparring pairs. Spectators are often invited by the blue tiefling to join the sessions if they've the inclination and some skill to hone or teach.

Speculation is abound at what the purpose of such training might be, aside from a practical and apparent desire to beef up the present security forces of the establishment.

A Succubus joins the myriad of odd and colorful characters moving to and from the House of Six Fingers as it prepares for its opening. On this particular day the security personnel can be seen in front, back and within the establishment in full force as though waiting for something. No training groups travel to the Gymnasium today, though business as usual resumes the following morning

*A kobold of indeterminable gender bolts down the streets of Sigil, scampers into the Hive Ward, maneuvers past several muggings, and skids to a stop before the front door of Maelfina's project. Hefting a bag aptly labeled "Tools", it enters, and leaves roughly an hour later, sketching mechanical looking plans in a worn notebook and grinning happily*

During the day after her shifts, a dark skinned woman with tattoos on her cheek is seen entering the newly constructed tavern.

She heads to the back and begins working with the newly arrived "help", helping them to coop with their pseudo freedom as well as how to function within Sigil. Ever patient and understanding, she keeps her smile wide and bright as she works with each individually, never pushing too hard nor asking for too much.

A tall, yet noticably slouched, Ogre is seen standing at the entrance of the project. He carries two blades strapped to his waist. When asked by passerby what he's doing he simply replies his name is Johnnie and he's been hired by "th' blue skinned lady to splatter those drinkers who get outta hand".

A drab morning sees Naya'il, a gnome, a fire genasi and a human, the last three in various brightly coloured garb, porting a few large boxes arrive at the House of Six Fingers. They nod to the ogre a greeting stating that they are come to the place on Sensate business and show him one of the boxes containing Sensory Stones.

Once allowed in, the team, under supervision of Naya'il, turn to setting up the stones and devices throughout the building. The gnome holds large parchment detailing the specifications and building and organises the other Sensate 'fitters' to make the fittings without too many 'oooo-ings' and 'aahings' or unnecessary pauses and the group are guided round all of the rooms of the House by one of Miss Sixthfingers 'little helpers'.

The main activator, the larger stone that enables the scrying of the small to feed into the one, is left until last. Naya'il seeks the personal approval of Miss Sixthfinger herself to ensure that this last is set up as required.

Once done, they take their leave.
