It had been a long time since Charles had breathed the stale air of the Cage... but here he was doing just that. Years had passed, years spent back on the Prime, setting up businesses under the Consortium. While it had continued to make him money.... it also bred boredom. People were easy to manipulate back home. Humans, mostly, with no experience of the Multiverse... Yokels I guess you could call them. At least in the Cage it was a challenge as everything was out for itself. It was almost like a game.
It would take time to rekindle his old relationships but it would come. It was time to shake up the Consortium and Syndicate. Too long they were quiet.
