((okay, because of the numerous people involved here, and coordinating schedules, I will play it out here. I've deleted some OOC posts to clean up the thread))

Dakkon carefully quietly manuvers the wagon with its payload into position he flips up the tarp on the end and makes a small trail of powder for a fuse about 10 feet away leading to the wagon and looks around to make sure hes alone when clear he walks back to the jail and waits for the signal for the fireworks to start.

As Julius notices the big wagon with that strange creature drawing close he cocks a brow under his helmet. At last- something strange is happening. Leaning forward to get a closer look he decides to send a warning.

He turns to his Erinyes, the Devil wearing a permanent scowl on her face, feeling above this mere guard duty her master commands her to perform.

"Send him a warning, my dear. We cannot have this get too close. "

The devil grins and with a smooth movement she nocks an arrow on her flaming bow taking aim.

Then- the arrow flies, burning brightly leaving whisps of smoke in its trail.

(((The reason we haven't done anything with this is that there is a second "unknown" plan running alongside this that requires an IG element. Cadence has been really busy with RL issues so we've simply put it on hold until things slow down a bit, maybe over the holidays. We'll pick it up when everyone is ready. :) )))

It is difficult for Dakkon to approach the Prison from any angle as the grounds surrounding the massive structure feature a staggered array of vigilant guards - some stationary, some on mobile patrol. Additionally, there is a rather visible presence of archers perched upon the rafters behind the massive stone walls.

The closest he can approach without galvanizing attention or being questioned by those on patrol is well outside the blast radius of the explosives in the wagon.

A tall tiefling female sporting the blood red plate uniform of the Prison's keepers seems to be the one in charge of security immediately outside the area: Dakkon figures this because guards on patrol periodically stop at her position, turn their heads, and stand still for a short while before resuming patrol. Like those of her colleagues, her fiery red orbs for eyes remain ever-vigilant for any signs of trouble. Unlike those of her colleagues, she sports a greatsword slung upon her back the size of a small street-lamp.

Midnight,Nov 23 2012 wrote: As dusk falls on the prison so does silence. All that can be heard from the yard is the scrape scrape scrape of stone on metal.  Jentia stands her blade in one hand and a whet stone in the other.  The holy avenger glimmers in her hand as the dim dying light catches the edge.  Jentia reflects on the eerie silence, the calm before the coming storm.  Like everyone else in the prison she had heard the rumors.  That she might have to die to stop the anarchists from freeing a murderer did not trouble.  Nor did the idea of the execution, the memories of the victims and their families demanded no less as justice.

Her gaze fell upon the debtors wing and a bitter smile crossed her lips, she had heard the rumors of explosives heard that the Anarchs planned to destroy it.  She should be pleased, she hated the place.  She had wanted to tear it down herself what went on there wasn't just. Was she ready to die to defend it?

As she so often did when her vows to the Red death conflicted with her vows as a paladin she retreated to silent solitary reflection.  What the Takers did there was not just, she had felt dirty when she had been forced to travel with the collectors and pleased when their own excesses had allowed her to bring them to justice.  The debtors ring should be destroyed.  Not this way though.  Its destruction would be the first step on a slippery slope to chaos.  The destruction of law and order and everything that is good and noble which they supported and protected.  Not to mention the poor sods locked in there.  She didn't believe they deserved their current fate, they certainly didn't deserve to die in there. No there was a way to deal with the takers just as she had dealt with the thugs she had been sent to patrol with.  The correct way through the law.

She finished sharpening her blade and silently slid it into her scabbard.

She uttered a silent prayer of thanks to Heironeous for the clarity she had been granted and walked back to her post.  Yes the debtors wing and those inside of it was something she was willingly to risk her life for.
The area outside the Prison was quiet tonight, though the connotation was more uneasy than calm. Jentia is assigned to mobile patrol on the ground, and is instructed to periodically stop by the Night's Guard Captain: Razi - a tiefling female with a detailed-oriented, almost neurotic, personality and an exceptional talent for utilizing large weapons.

All is quiet for now.

Anarchist intelligence yields several routes of entry - each present with a unique set of challenges.

The Direct Approach:

This approach is through the main foyer of the prison through a plethora of armed guards. The guards must be dispatched, subdued, or somehow distracted (or some combination of the three) in order to enter the Prison. Sneaking past the guards is not an option for those who value their lives.

Pros: Once inside, the path to Kaori Suzume's cell is known well by the Revolutionary League- due to official blueprints released at the Hall of Information. Though it is possible that the Red Death changed the Prison's architecture and planted false blueprints, it's highly unlikely- they are far more likely to rely on their numbers to thwart potential intruders. This is the surest of all approaches.

Cons: Once inside, there are still many more guards to fight. The Mercykillers know their Faction Headquarters better than anyone else, and any intruder is vulnerable to a variety of ambushes on top of the numerous enraged guards. Out of all approaches, this one will involve the most resources and has the highest risk of associated Anarchist casualties.

Jumping Right In:

A sneak named Bozon from the Runner's Guild with ties to Phoenix's Cell has revealed that there is a 2 way portal that opens from the Bazaar directly into the Prison: an archway a few blocks Spirewards from Khazeet's bar must be approached with a padlock and key in hand.

Pros: If this is the case, then this could be the best approach to take: not only does it allow for potentially getting inside the Prison without drawing any attention, but unlike the other approaches, this one has an exit strategy.

Cons: The sneak claims to have discovered the portal and key from one-time observation - so there is no guarantee that even attempting this approach will work. Another drawback is that no one knows where exactly in the Prison the portal opens - it could be a quiet hallway, or the middle of the guard-infested courtyard. Finally, the sneak is not completely trustworthy, and it's possible that he could be in cahoots with or even a plant by the Red Death. Out of all the approaches, this one has the most uncertainty.

The Long, Scenic Route.... With a Twist:

A trustworthy wererat informant from one of the Undersigil villages claims to know of a way to enter the Prison from the bottom through secret tunnels and catacombs. The way into the Prison is through sewer grates which open up into the torture chambers located within its deep underbelly.

Pros: Though there are likely Red Death Guards in the catacombs as one gets close to the Prison, they can likely be disptached quickly and easily without much manpower. Once inside, the Anarchists can use the blueprints to find their way around the Prison. Out of all the approaches, this one is the easiest to execute.

Cons: Kaori Suzume has made many enemies during her travels, and this particular wererat's tribe is one of them. They demand that Suzume be returned to them. Before divulging the location of the secret tunnels, they require a hefty sum in the form of jink and magic items, as well as a high ranking member of Phoenix's cell to put in "safekeeping" and later be used as a "token to exchange" for Suzume. This approach will require tricking or subduing Suzume, as she will not find this arrangement agreeable. She will likely meet an unpleasant end if relinquished to the wererats - and if she somehow manages to escape, the Anarchists will have made a powerful enemy in Suzume. They will also make a powerful enemy if they try to trick the wererats.

//Working under the assumption Jen's still a namer as she was when the topic started.

Following her orders Jentia completes her checks and having her orders she finds Razi on the walls. The paladin's natural distaste for those descended from the lower planes does not show. Clearly she respects the chain of command. Her tone is polite if a little abrupt

"All quiet so far captain. You wanted to see me?"

((Jen is not a Namer - we won't do this in the past, but in the present :))

Razi's red eyes pin Jentia with their weighty gaze for a few uncomfortable seconds before she simply shakes her head and motions for Jen to continue patrol.

Calm patient pale green eyes meet the tiefling's pointed red stare. She doesn't coment further though. She has her orders to follow and her patrol to make so she does so.
