Subject 94 Investigation Team

After a brief escape earlier today, Suzume was apprehended after a chase through the Hive. Officer Julius Ahestes played a notable role in her recapture. Many deaths were reported in the Hive, with the heaviest losses being suffered by the Red Death.

Soon thereafter, Kaori Suzume was promptly executed to avoid any potential breakouts in the future. Numerous high ranking witnesses from both the Mercykiller faction as well as Harmonium faction were present to oversee her demise and painstaking steps were taken to assure that she would never be resurrected.

New reports have emerged indicating that Suzume... or perhaps someone impersonating her... has returned despite a documented execution. There is an internal investigation among the Harmonium and Red Death to figure who was actually present at the execution and who saw her killed.

After the incident at the barracks Caterina returns to the courts and makes for The Bureau of portals and planar travel showing her Fraternity badge she makes for the portal ledger and begins looking for any reference to the portal through which their assailant escaped through.

Hograth delivers some reports ( see the Harmonium faction forums please) then oversees the troopers searching the archieves for missing documents.

He also awaits the report of the trooper he sent to the Prison as a liason to ask for witnesses of the recent murder.

A few days later Hograth will see to it that the guards around the portals leading to and from the just secured City are also secured with Alarm Spells (or Greater Alarm if available) to make inflitration more difficult.

After extensive investigation, a single file is found to be missing from the Dossiers, one merely entitled:

"Subject 94."

Without the file, it's impossible to know who or what Subject 94 is -no officer is able to recall it with certainty.

Their list of leads was growing ever smaller and the Harmonium's incompetence was only hurting matters further, but Caterina had never placed much faith in their ability to organize things so it did not come as much of a surprise to her. She had a name though at least "subject 94" that was a start.

She took a set of white incense a scroll and three pieces of wood taped into a triangle. She burns the incense the white smoke it emits rising up through the wooden shape as she casts the spell on the scroll subject 94 being the focus of it.

After hearing about Harmonium and Mercykiller officers being questioned about the execution Hograth will of course try to see the results of this investigations as they might give a valuable hint.

No witnesses to the recent murder near the prison came forth from the ranks of the Mercykillers. There was just one civilian who gave a a brief statement shortly after the murder.

Meanwhile, Caterina's searches end-up fruitless - both in terms of the portal as well as Subject 94. It seems that talking to people will be the best bet to glean clues regarding the strange designation.

An investigation launched in the Prison reveals that no one currently on duty directly saw Suzume being executed, but there were merely officers who reported hearing that they did. Extensive cross-examination reveals that a Mercykiller named Niko Aras was the only one who claimed to have seen Suzume executed with his own eyes (per the report of the other Mercykillers). Yet he vanished after a jaunt in the Hive several months prior.

As Caterina wracks her brains trying to think of anyone who could possibly recall subject 94 outside of The Harmonium she decided to look for something more concrete. She searched the Fraternity's archive. If Kaori had been arrested she would have an arrest record, and an arrest record would have an address on it. It was a long shot but anywhere she has stayed she may have left behind a clue as to her plans.
