After her experiments with the spear proved to be a success, Kala tried to craft smaller projectiles such as bolts and arrow using the same formula, hoping they would contain enough power to actually deal equivalent amounts of damage.

This approach is working well- all kinds of ammunition can be created and enchanted and while they are expensive they will serve their purpose well.

For the next coming days, the Factor spent some time practicing her bowing skills along with her adopted daughters, making sure her closest aides and followers got at least five of them of the projectiles. Then as promised she sent the notes of her findings to the clergy of Wee-Jas.

The ammunition is distributed and the information shared with the temples.

Kala is quite sure those weapons will not just be devestating against the constructs but will be also effective against most other opponents.

((btw- will she now try to cast Metal to Wood on the new alloy or on the shards she got?))

((She will try to cast metal to wood on the new arrows. Ideally she wanted to have a kind of tube able to let the energy flow through the arrow and charge the head before the shot. If that doesn't work she will do the same with metal, but using a rune to make it lighter. She'll also try to improve the spear to have more, expecting keeping it destroy something "heavier".))

Casting this spell onto an arrowhead has an interesting result.

It works but of course it immediately destroys the delicate blance between the conflicting energies bound in this alloy- the resulting wood just lacking the abilities to bind those.

There is a 'pop' and the arrowhead becomes a hail of tiny shards and splinters which first sprout and bloom like twigs in the spring bit then wither away to nothingness.

As for her other plan- adding any mechanical devices to that arrows results in instability and makes it very hard to hit anything.

The spear will work of course- once.

Kala will try to correct this design issue by using a few magic tricks and runes to render the projectile lighter, she didn't expected it to hit a long distance however.

The projectiles will work at short distances- and of course they did prove to be useful once already.

Even with the initial threat gone now they might one day become useful again....

After the pylon was taken back to the Great Foundry, Kala started to study it, she mostly searched for a mean to reactivate it and possibly use it as a power source.

The Pylon is an odd mix of crystal and the already familiar alloy.

Studying it reveals that it can indeed be used to power some spell or magical ward- it seems if it is attuned to some spell or magical effect it will be able to sustain this effect, even prevent this spell from being dispelled or disjoined with non epic level or divine level magic.

Reactivating it is a more difficult task- it seems it needs to be charged with energy from outside..

((Spellcraft, please))
