Holdout weapons are tricky. Size was a concern, but so was accessibility. Encumbrance versus subtlety and principle among them, lethality. She had pistols but they made lots of noise and the screaming that followed wasn't optimal in this given situation and that was assuming she could draw and fire them within a second and a half. The concept of her next project was to take the enchanted gauntlets that constituted some of the most popular holdout weapons and adapt them to her needs. Out with the built in lightning gauntlets, negative energy surges or sonic scourging, she was going to play to her strengths, toxins. A single gauntlet, built of compounded metallic cloth, mithril bracing and synthetic fiber composite, the weapon took the form of a blade-catcher's mit. A little thin on the inside to permit the operation of a firearm or, to the comfortable user, an instrument but that is because the real worth was on the backside, concealed in the extra mass. A needle, thin and sharp, was enchanted for the singular purpose of puncturing hardened flesh and armor. It wasn't intended to inflict any damage on its own and in fact, was painless and nearly harmless, even being punched through bone given the structure and fine width of the needle. Adamantine was used purely to maintain structural integrity and even then, it had to be shaped by magic as much as tools. This was connected to a series of soft ampules holding one of several potential substances. The substance delivered was selected by neurological impulse and articulated compression. The assembly was the easy part, waiting for the parts was the hard part and now it was time to go test the creation.
