Since Raka brought her a remain of the dead gods corpse, Kala has been doing various analyses, maybe it was an opportunity to learn more about the gods themselves, perhaps see if the matter could be used for something, if its essence was still there, or maybe if some in formations about the weapon that was used on the corpse could be gathered to a certain extent.

Using the Legend's Lore spell from the knowledge domain, Kala's secret book and a heroism scroll))

Lore : 20+80 = 100

Spellcraft : 20+50 = 70

Alchemy : 20+13 = 33

Heal = 20+20 = 40

UMD = 20+17 = 37))

She finds out that the Shard is indeed genuine- a tiny piece of some dead god's body. What kind of god it might have been is hard to say as she has no information at all about its former sphere of power or its portfolio or domains- but as an educated guess she would say it was some deity of reighteous war.

There is still a tiny spark of divine energy inside the shard but it is fading quickly- perhaps it can be used to empower something or perhaps it can be extracted for another purpose.

However it is impossible to restore the god- too much is already gone.

There is no hint of what weapon might have been used (if any) to destroy this power.

Kala will carefully attempt to extract the divine essence to keep it safe. Then she took a small portion of it for an experiment. She used it to imbue a rather "mundane" magic staff she had recently crafted trying to access if the divine energy could actually empower its magic or be used to create new properties.

Extracting the essence is far from easy- and storing it somewhere is even harder.

She will need a vessel especially crafted for this purpose- the construction alone taking time and ressources.

(( please gimme a metalcrafting check of your choice (both armour and weapons are allowed) and some spellcraft, too))

Since crafting metalic parts was involved, that time was at the essence and that the object too rare to be lost Kala went to seek the help of the kobold namer called Dipi.

While she assisted mostly for all the spellcrafting and weaving, she let him handle the crafting, carefully observing and assisting him if needed.

((I'm again taking a 20

Spellcraft : 20+50 = 70

Kala will also uses "Help another" to assist Dipi in his crafting (giving him +2 to his roll) : rolling : 7+11 = 18))

(( Craft Armor/Weapon/Alchemy are all on the same level. In this instance the skill(s) are at 50 and with taking 20 (if possible) at 70. ))

Dipi makes notes about the process of creating the vessel in question. His notes will be copied and added to the archives so that the process will have a guideline for being repeated if necessary. The writing is small but neat and precise. Diagrams, charts, and figures are also penned in on other scrolls attached to the first. They give additional information on heat and temperature, coloration, alchemical compound (and how to acquire and make them). All along with descriptions of tools, patterns, and molds necessary to reproduce the work.

Design Concept;

Instead of trying to reinvent the metaphorical wheel we simply improved upon a like metaphorical design.

For the desired purpose, a barrelesq structure was decided on. Head boards and staves crafted of power infused Glassteel were weled together with sand tap and divine weaving to form a single fused unit. Through each step in the creation of the materials used, and during construction of the final crafting process, divine power was continually poured into what would become the final product. A specially designed spigot of Glassteel coated Bloodglass was also created in this way to allow drawing out of the contents in small measure after crafting is complete.

The final product remained in the heating sand awaiting infusion of the source essence. Once the vessel is charged with the essence and subsequently cooled to setting temperature it will be permanently sealed, then bound up in rubber coated steel binding rings. With this design internal pressures, both of a physical and mystical nature, should be drastically curbed and rendered almost fully ineffective against the shell of this vessel.

(( Going to put the actual design elsewhere so I don't clutter up your RP here. If the DM wants to look over it they can check that post.))

Dipi successfully creates a vessel to hold the divine essence; once the vessel is ready, Kala is able to extract the essence and store it safely inside. The final product, once infused with divine energy, glows gold and red through the glassteel and bloodglass container.

But inside there is only a tiny spark - enough for one experiment.

//Went off of your previous rolls for the extraction.
