Normal. A word without meaning in a multiverse without meaning, meant simply to outline what is usual while completely ignoring the pointlessness of its existence. If there is no such thing as an underlying pattern, then that which is usual can at any point be broken, with no explanation as to 'why' ever being necessary. We can agree then, that which is normal is merely coincidental, and inevitably looming towards that point in time where the pattern is shattered.

Such expectations may have been broken, with the entrance of two specific members into the Bleak Cabal. The first, D'rolmalkin Duh'rotark Gnol, a Mind Flayer, and Xor the Nine Eyed, a Gauth. Aberrants are known for being secluded to their societies and the means by which they treat all other beings that they deem inferior. Beholder, and Beholder-kin specifically, are infamous for their Xenophobia, while Mindflayers often only take other beings in to serve as both slaves and vessels for breeding, once a Tadpole has matured and requires a body. Yet both have somehow come to the conclusion that their existence, and their societies, were pointless. They abandoned their kind, and join with other members of the Bleak Cabal in their ever constant melancholy and depression.

Whatever could have led them to this decision is in large part in the dark. But, there is a particular madness manifested within the two Aberrants. One that they both claim is what allowed them see the world for what it is. There is knowledge in madness they say, and with each passing day, they are further consumed by it.
