A Working Namer

Isolde had been with the Cabal for nearly a year - if one was only counting her time as a Namer. In that time, she had largely worked under Ezra aiding the homeless, Tyvold with the orphans and the Gatehouse's own infirmiry, only occasionally assisting in the asylum with Tessali and Sruce.

Lately, she found herself lingering around the Asylum, listening to the sounds of the inmates. She had enjoyed her work with Ezra and Tyvold in her earlier days, days when she felt close to her own memories of homelessness and her days as an orphan waif, alone in a harsh and crazy realty. Now, those memories had faded, losing their sharpness. She was becoming more apathetic, which might be a normal side-effect of such a Bleak outlook, but still....it made it harder to focus on her work.

She was always drawn back to the Asylum, feeling a kinship to those within, like she had in the beginning with the kids and the homeless. Perhaps it was time she work more under Tessali and Sruce. Who knows? it might help her with her own gab bag of problems...

The next time she arrived to the Gatehouse, she sought Tessali out, to arrange a new work schedule, split between him and Sruce.

In between her normal shifts, Isolde makes a stop at the Gatehouse with a weightless sack full of giant snake meat, fresh out of Brux. Enlisting the help of a wizard Namer, she gets a stasis spell cast on the bag, allowing the meat to keep fresh for quite a bit longer that normal. She then delivers the meat to the soup kitchen, so it can be used to feed the many destitute that come through the doors.

Before her shifts start, Isolde commonly delivers a small sack of gems and coins, totaling between 10 and 30 merts, depending on the day of the week. Recently, she's been extending her hours in the Asylum rather than out and about Sigil, so the donations tend to total less over all than other weeks. When she works, she seems distracted and on edge. Some would think she's using the time at the Gatehouse to hide from something... or someone.

Isolde brings a variety of donations to both the orphanage and the almshouse before her shift. Medical supplies and gently used adult's clothing is left with the shelter, while children's clothes, books, and stuffed animals are distributed in the orphanage. General donations of money are sent to the Factors offices, to be used as needed. After those tasks are taken care of, she meets with Factor Tessali to review an improving patient in the Asylum.
