saka looks back in a equally dead pan way
''...too bad.
...perhaps in the great bazar though... but there's no time to look by all the merchants. *thinks by herself*
just give me a mount that wont die too soon, and without being too much funny again, or *you* will be my steed''
always hard for an halfling to be convincingly threatening , although saka has some experience in being so. still doesn't assure people wouldn't laugh at her at first

''save me the jokes about halflings trying to lead big mounts. they are overrated anyway. *loopsides stare at him as she sighs faintly patiently under her hood* let's see this mount you've mentioned''

He shows Saka to a stall at the end of the row. They pass a number of large war horses which although the stable groom does not say would be impossible for Saka to ride, they'd just be too big for her to mount and remain in the saddle. In the stall he shows her is a donkey. It looks well looked after reasonably healthy and it can probably carry a lot, but its still a donkey.

*While the others had searching for their mounts Mauric had remained until they returned. The visage hollows in his black masked turned to Dorian then to his skeletal mount* -A flamboyant little carrier. Impressive albeit the natives may come to disagree quite violantly. Well we just have to dispose of them if they do I suppose. *he steped up close and patted the mounts skull looking up to Dorian* -The unliving servants have a few nifty boons the living lack. Where did you get it and what did it cost you?
Clearly he had planned on going by foot at least until an opportunity presented itself on Oerth

saka simply start laughing amused, although her laughter is not exactly sane and is muffled by the mask as she twiches.
then stops and looks at the man
''i take there are no war hound mounts. pity...'' waves her hand dismissively ''prepare the donkey , so we can catch up with those two and leave at last. ah, also, saddle yourself.'' says totally devoid of humor without looking at him

Dorian looks down at Maruic, his expression unreadable behind his silver mask.Krayt,Sep 17 2013 wrote: the unliving servants have a few nifty boons the living lack. Where did you get it and what did it cost you?
"Cost? A lifetime of service to Helios, a small gratuity to the stablehand, and a cheap gem. I believe you could manage two of those.
I had only a single spell prepared to animate corpses, however, i do have a stave that can perform the same once per day. If you desire such a steed, then provide me with 50 gold, and it shall be yours."

saka waits, as she recall who's cromlich, and while giving the man a bit surprised look over
''didn't know you were already employed as mount by one of us. must be somewhat of an honour for you''
looks around in the stable and toward the exit of this meanwhile

Mauric makes a hasty turn and hurries toward the stable. Once there he askes for a faulty subject to be purchased cheap. After some persuasion and haggeling he obtains a unhealthy steed. He pondered for awhile how to best deprive the beast of its faltering last link to life. Drewing his newly forged rapier deciding to test its qualities he first amied a thrust for the main veins along is neck. The beast neighed painfully as it collapsed to the ground kicking ferociously. Mauric watched the pool of blood spread as the horse stoped kicking and was breathing agonizing Heavy. He approached and made the final thrust piercing the heart. When all life had been striped from it he used the stave. After he fitted the horse with a sadle and reins he returned to the others.

Dorian holds out his hand for the return of the stave.
