"And here I thought Pentar liked a little chaotic violence," their host commented.
"And aye, that's about the way of it - you can't be too careful around demons, but they're enthusiastic enough about our work. The lady of the town, though, she's been fairly consistent in her friendliness. It works out to the profit of all."
Theumar studied his guests for a moment, and then shook his head slightly as though dismissing a thought. Then he attempted to change the subject and continue the tour.

Meanwhile, Eloe's perch afforded her a good view of both the Doomguard's factory, and the central square of the "town" - good enough, that she was in position to spot a familiar looking demon hurrying from the factory towards Red Shroud's tower. The "fellow" looked suspiciously like the incubus Takis.

"That she does all right. But not enough to have the pact broken nor take a chance with the reds. She'd let us rot away in some cell before letting that happen. Not that rotting at the Armoury is much better. Can't 'ave that can we?Rather 'ave my head smashed to bits ontop a pile of broken bodies that fell at my hands."
"Getting their hands on cheap chivs aye, that I can understand. Never liked to pay for what could be simply taken although. Or is there more to it? Got some fancy toys for 'em to play with?"
"And what is all this about this Red Shroud top-bitch everyone is yapping about? We have some agreement with her?"
He was mindful of any secret passages and hidden storagerooms during the tour. Mentally mapping the building. Theumars office or private quarters held extra intrest of course. Once the tour had concluded he would if they didn't recive any further instructions lead the others to a public area and kindle a fire waiting for their missing member long enough to be spotted but didn't wait for Eloe to approach them knowing she took details seriously. Withdrawing to a confined area that would be troublesome to pry into without getting noticed. It had to be brief enough not to rose any suspicions.

As they were led along, they caught glimpses of many work rooms and assembly areas which Theumar didn't seem interested in showing them. If questioned, he dismissed them as not particularly interesting.
In answer to Mauric's question, Theumar continued: "Aye, we trade in all sorts of weapons. As I think I said before, the Blood War is all consuming. . .
"And we have an agreement with Red Shroud. We could hardly have this outpost here if we didn't! Perhaps you didn't hear, but that big deal with the Ships of Chaos? Some of the details were worked out right here."
They never made it to Theumar's office, because at that point a lesser doomguard came up to Theumar with an urgent message. The Doomlord excused himself, and hurried off down a passage, leaving the party to do what they liked.

As the man departed he whispered to Varnia. "Follow him unseened but do not linger too long. We will be outside and return in short."
Withdrawing to a deep narrow ally (After first having showed themselves publically) he waited for Eloe to find them. He first now let the others know she was expected. "We are waiting for Knives. If she will not come shortly we have to proceed without her. They have a conncetion to the ship, a little too convenient to be a coincident."

The two men headed down the corridor to what must have been the Doomlord's office, and shut the door behind them. Varnia could hear the muffled sounds of quiet conversation. . .

The masked elf did not approach the Doomguard party, instead she waited patiently outside, without intention to interfere - not yet, anyway. She took note of the incubus leaving the factory, whom she was about to ignore. But the striking resemblance, the apparent rush, and the coincidental timing... never the type to believe the coincidences, she made the judgement call, and skipped to the next roof, to climb the next one and jump off onto the other, and so on, following the demon covertly.

Azor stared at the entrance to their secluded spot, sword hand twitching. "I would say...the masked one is a skilled scout. Our trail is growing cold, but she has a good chance of finding it's next steps." The Athasian glanced over at Mauric. "What do you think of Theumar, ansei? It is difficult to say if he is hiding treachery; there are many things I would not share with the lower rank as well."

He nodded. "Indeed it would only be wise of him to keep us in the dark. Especially with a group such as us. Even more so in a outpost as this. Yet the factory is involved in the shipmaking. There is a connection. "
"We cannot linger without imparing our credebility, let us return and mingle with the rest."
His want paranoia doubled in intensity at this place. Had his arm given him away? He considered while walking back to the factory.
