*He returns the stave to Dorian. He would also ask for a wand of Winged Mount Before leaving. He then mounted and trotted up beside the others somewhat unsteady lacking the grace of a experianced rider* -Aye, let's see just how blasted it is. *he said to Saka in a his newly adopted voice*

The masked trio make their way through the well kept streets of the lady's ward, drawing suspicious glares from the Harmonium and worried glances from the nobles. As they make their way into the bazzar the shutters on shop fronts are pulled shut. Even the jaded cutters of the cage seem to think it is better to leave the three masked doomguard well alone.

As they cross from market ward to clerks ward and they head in the direction of the hive the streets empty to allow them to pass. They reach the archway where the street narrows into an alleyway. As Dorian scatters the lotus leaves the portal shimmers and opens and even behind their masks the doomguard can smell the fetid stench of the swamps as the desolate wastes of Minouras stretch out before them.

Excellent, so far none of the others so far had sought command of the expedition. Not that they were not welcome to take responsibility for the success or, more importantly, the failure of the mission.

Still, it reminded him of the old days, riding undead steeds, chasing down fleeing slaves over the desert sands. The pyres and the screams of the sacrifices. Oh yes, those were the days.

When they pass through the portal Dorian gives instructions.

"Set up a perimeter, cast wards. Keep a close eye on the nearby pools. I want an aura against evil on this spot - please tell me one of you can manage that? If not, tell me, ill handle it. Keep me covered. I shall prepare a Gate"

Dorian starts by casting a few protections of his own ((personal PFE mainly)), monitoring the others.

He waits for a signal that they are ready though before he starts the difficult invocation to summon a gate. He has never been to this prime before, its not going to be a walk in the park scrying the correct path to open...

ayase rests lazily on the donkey, the carrot still dangling in front of it, eventually this making it to walk in circle around the two

''you know, we could go in a more quiet plane if this one make you so wary''

meanwhile she covers the eyes of the donkey with a cloth wrap, still holding firm its lead. as for the wards, she wait to see if mauric can manage something himself

///also, ayase is evil aligned. now, i dunno how it works by pnp rules, but what happens if an evil creature tries to use a ward against evil? it doesnt matter and works, like in nwn2, or there's problems?//

*Mauric dismounted and was about to tie the reins to an dead tree but let it fall in the midst of his endeavour. Realizing Another favourable aspect of the undead perhaps. He activates his belt casting PFE. He turned his gaze to Dorian* -An aura of that nature seems more as a gods-pawn spell. *he then diverted his gaze to Saka aka Ayase* -Howbeit trinkets serve just as well as a gods given spell. *he turned his back on them facing the nearby pools*- Cast away and we shall keep them from you if necessary.

Dorian nods to the others as they signal their readiness.

At Ayase he says "You have a point. In my eagerness to travel i did not consider that we will arrive there with the stink of the Hells on us, i simply find the Hells fascinating. However, we should have traveled from the Abyss. We could have passed ourselves off as Abyssal Mercenaries then.

What is done though is done"

...as he takes out a scroll and begins reviewing the spell...

"Mayhaps we will pass muster if we are approached by any Tanar'ri. We can always claim we were involved in a Blood War invasion of Baator."

After that he puts aside any further conversation and bends his will to the task of opening the Gate, channeling the words contained on the scroll.

-Hopefully it won't matter in the slightest. If they belive they have a use for us they will exploit it. Or kill us for mere sport regardless. *he laughed intensivly but a watchful gaze at the surroundings remained*

Mauric refrained from planning too far ahead at this point.

The wards and circles are cast and in place. In the boggy swamps and fens they see things moving, looming closer testing the strength of their spells. They seem to hold.

As Dorian reads the scroll the gate opens and through the swirling portal they see a scene so detatched from minouras to view them both together seems a little absurd.

//To answer the question casting protection from evil gives the spell the good descriptor. This would mean some evil deties may not grant it. I would say if you are using it to do something evil like summon a fiend that'd be allowed.

As Saka/Ayase is an arcane caster though not of that applies to her so she can cast protection from good/evil/law/chaos perfectly fine.
