((Yes, Dorian's PfE comes from a divine source as all his spells do. There is a rather big question at the moment as to who or what is granting him spells as his God withdrew is blessing from his peoples which led to the chain of events that led Dorian to the planes. However, once he was on the planes, his spells returned. Was it a case of his God being blocked from granting spells on Dorian's prime, or is Dorian now being granted spells from elsewhere? Stay tuned for more Tales of the Unexplained for no reason at all!!!))
As the portal shivers to life, Dorian barks a command for the others to pass through and make a beachhead and signal if the way is clear. If so he will pass through and close the gate behind him.

ayase sends the donkey through the portal first. hopefully they'll see if anything ''bad'' happens to it. meanwhile she conjures tentacles in a hemisphere around the portal and themselves (at a safety distance from them), to cover their passage from the lurking things. the gate should last long enough, based off on dorian's power as a cleric, to offer time for these safety measures

As Mauric dashes through the portal Dorian thinks to himself:
"The donkey was a good move by the halfling, but the charge through by Mauric was reckless." he snorts "Destroyers. Act first, think later. Well, if there is a greater demon on the other side, its his funeral"
Regardless, he watches what happens through the portal, prepared to step through with Ayase if things look safe enough, or prepared to close the portal should it appear as if they will face overwhelming odds. The loss of a Doomguard brother trapped on the other side would be a minor inconvenience, one less Destroyer is one less problem to deal with at a later date. Still, their chance of success would be higher with the party intact, so he bides his time, watching what happens to the donkey and Mauric.

Dorian waits a moment and then steps through.
He takes a deep breath of air, looks around, and satisfied, collapses the gate.
"So, who has a spell or scroll to get us back to the outer planes when we are done here?" he pauses for a heartbeat and chuckles then says "Don't get separated from me if you don't have your own way back."
Not caring if they appreciate his little joke or not, he says "We need directions. Either of you capable of scrying? Or can scout? Failing that, we need a local. A live one will do, but a dead one can be made to talk."

*As the two approaches through the portal they finds Mauric laughing* -Disapointing isn't it? *He turned his head and scaned the horizon from north to east, South and west then set on north again making the skeletal mount creak and crack from the exercise*-But so is this place. Had imagen black smog and rampaging demons. We have alot of work ahead of us. I favour a little exloring if we happen upon someone that could be used..
Mauric had gathered the soul prisms to barter with yes. But he also belived they could attract the Tanar'ri.
((Since the scrying spell isn't in game what are our options here? Would have taken it as a lvl3Bard spell if it was.))
