During one of his visits to The Armoury an imp would flutter up to Mauric. The small fiend would drop a rolled scroll into his lap. It would then fly off wordlessly. Once opened the scroll would read:

You are not the only one chasing what you seek.  Time is running out, do not fail me.

He unscrolled and read it, creasing it together in his hand as soon he was finished. A flash of orange lit the flesh of his hand and few embers danced down like fireflies in the darkness before the last remains of the scroll were but dust on the floor.

Aye time had made a move against him from all direction. Trying to descry the Doomlords plan had backfired now he had to erradicate that.

He returned to his room at the Old spite's inn. Manufactureing a robe with the seblance of the cultists they had dealt with. He took a plain grey mask with him along with the attire he had just made. Looking for a suitable spot to change on his way to the place he last saw Cassandra at.

Mauric makes his way to The Lower Ward, it is not difficult to retrace his steps. The road with the small shed that hides the stairs down to Undersigil is still flanked by Daubus. They appear to be refusing people entry. A recent article in SIGIS (//that is the in game one) listed Cassandra as living on Yeoman Street not far from here but did not mention which house.

He swapped his attire for his fake cultist raiment before he came anywhere close to stair that had lead them up. As he approached the site rounding a corner he halts spotting the massing Dabus. Indeed this must carry some weight, he had dismissed the idea of them trying to summon their god as the guvner had mused but this caused him to reconsider. He still had to learn more of this Tharizdun and these cultists would serve better than any book he had read on the topic.

His disguise was now marking him as a prey rather then the hunter he realize. He waited there for a brief moment but this way were sealed no cultist would exit this way if they even remained in the dungeoun below that is. He hurried back the way he came. As he turned about he bumped into a burly man. He tossed a copy fo Sigis at him in frustration. "Get out of my way before I freakin' knock you out of it!" The man snapped at him. "Terribly sorry" The warlock said in a sumissive tone. As usual he altered his speach it was as much a disguse as the attire. He could not afford a fight here and now. Bending down to fetch the copy for him he noticed the familiar name among the whirr of words. The burly man shoved him aside before he could pick it up and walked pass him muttering leaving the copy there leaving it for Mauric that bent down to pick it up again.

He ambled among the throng of people until he slank into a narrow ally. Leaning his shoulder against the wall and putting a foot on a protruding lintel of a cellar window. He started to read the article at a quick pace. Worse than anticipated, far worse. She was looking for him and that could plunge him into his undoing if not turned to his advantage fast. He tossed the newspaper heading for Yeoman Street after he had changed into a plain brow robe with a hood. He decided to keep his mask on. Once there he mantained a low profile, listening to the gossiping crowds. Watching and waiting.

He would find what could be considered a typical street, if the cage had such thing as typical streets. There are rows of houses down each end and a small shop that sells food candles and other convenience items. There are few people wandering about and they all stop and stare at Mauric, a hooded masked man is always going to draw attention, he must be hiding something. Just as he is beginning to feel a little conscious attention is mercifully drawn away from him. At each end of the road a group of figures in red armour appear. They begin walking down towards each other knocking on each door along the way. Once the doors are opens there is a brief conversation with the occupants of the houses and then they move onto the next house.

He tried to map out which houses were occupied by another than Cassandra. If he could get a clear view. He took a small piece of paper along with a thin splinter of charcoal and drew a smiple scetch of squares representing each house and marked them down. He keept at a safe distance for now involving the harmonium could only worsen the affair.

As he makes a sketch of the houses he notices the hardheads going from door to door. And then there she is. He sees her braided blonde hair first and then the rest of her. She talks to two of the Notaries and then they form up around her. There seems to be no force or duress her hands are not bound but she is going with them. She appears to be who the Harmonium are after they all begin to depart, but why so many for just one girl?

He quickly came to the conclution they was either taking her away to interrogate her for every bit of information they could dragg out of her or lock her away beyond the reach of the cultists. He had to act fast. Yanek would not forgive a second mistake, even if odds was against him here they was better then returning.

He walked around the corner and once he rounded it he started running after invoking invisibility. He ran in the direction of the Barracks. He attemted to gain enough distance between himself and them to set up a diversion before they arrived. He placed every card on them taking the fastest route directly to the barracks.

Shielded from the crowd by his invsiblity he manages to race through The Lower Ward towards the lady's ward. He passes several places that would make good sites for an ambush. Outside the foundry the road is blocked up as the Godsmen appear to be having some kind of delivery and a number of large wagons are parked outside the foundry as heavy boxes are taken off them. He would also notice the narrow tunnel between The lower and Lady's wards that could easily trap the group if the ends could be blocked and finally there is the Armoury. The most direct route to the barracks would take the patrol directly past it. It would be risky as it would involve direct confrontation between the two factions but it would not much to stir the violence prone sinkers into attacking a faction that were seen as at best rivals and at worst bitter foes.
