"Ever the faultless servant were you not Cromlich. But so were I.. Return to the Armoury and your duties there once you had your share of fun. I will not have Pentar's favourite die here and have my four colleagues reproach me for it."

He turned his head towards the Marilith. "There is no possibility to have the spell cast on every soldier. Rain hails from above and not below. It can be intercepted by the aerial force. Protect the speediest of your fliers from flame compeltly and have them circulate above us in high spead this will attract the rain of fire and divert it from us below. Make haste!" He commanded the Marilith relentlessly knowing she could relay the order without speech.

He wavered his blade for Ra'zeth to join him at his left side the Marilith standing to his right. "At my side Ra'zeth, it is time you be dyed in blood to wash away the rust festering on you like a passive Sinker rusting away at the Armoury. At my side." Ra'zeth would barely recognise his voice but there was a very faint ghostly streak of it still breathing in it as if clinging to life still albeit certain death.

He began to jog, expecting the personal guard to keep his speed while maintaining the formation. He also expected the lesser flying demons to join Qors assault as he paved the way for them. "Onward! Charge straight at the fortress in the formation I ordered! Collapse the ground they hide in with quakes. Anchor the tactical grounds. Drive the demons infront of you and let them be the first to face them or cut them down would they abandon the field."

Thus he would advance to the fortress with the Marilith as hostage and comander both.

Ayase (a.k.a meram khell) too hears of the siege and decides to join the bloodshed.
She hurries through the portal to the destination, and, as mauric and his squad likely left already, she finds some other doomguard to ask the details.

that done, if there are no viable squads for her to join (either for fight style o current objective that dont fit her tastes) she cloaks in invisibility and discorporates in a swarm of flying shadow critters, soaring above the battlefield to anaylize the place and disposition of forces

(( Unless DM/EM disagrees of course. Would just have her join together with the others as time get skewed up. Goes for everyone that want to hop aboard. Unless yes no need to repeat that.))

The oversized drow nodded at Mauric's words, charging at his side but quickly making his way to the front of the vanguard. Vicious axe held high and bloodcurdling screams meant to both inspire his destructive kinsmen and intimidate what fiends dared stay around them, it was quite obvious that the yet unblooded Doomguard felt right at home in the heat of battle.

With a roar that could be heard even over the battle below, Qorxicotl dove. His heart hammered with exhilaration; too long spent following the others into cramped dungeons and caverns! A dragon's place was in the sky, raining ruin down upon lesser creatures. The black would try to use his great weight to smash aside any abishai who moved to intercept him or even unlucky demons who got in the way, confident he could regenerate later if needed. Unless knocked out of the air before then, Qorx would attempt to bathe the devils near the bridgehead with his acid breath in a strafing run.

Flying invisible as a descorporated bunch of shadow bats, Ayase reaches Mauric's contigent, then lands down back into halfling shape, renewing the improved invisibility regularly to be able to attack without being revealed to unmagicked eyes.

She doesnt join meele, due to her skillset. She instead stays behind or around the front line where forces clash, so to not get caught inbetween. She uses every pile of bodies , rocks and terrain sinks and elevations for cover.

Purple lightnings leap between four foes each time, burning and dissolving their body parts, while writhing layers of cold blue tentacles burst from ground when a charge of baatezus runs toward the doomguards, slowing if not blocking the advance as the tendrils threaten to wrap around their bodies. Such invocation would be used to shield exposed flanks her allies might leave.

If she notices the same rifts in the ground the dragon did, she may decide to use them to scout ahead.

The doomguards advance, pushing the demons in front of them, pressing the attack against the devilsh foes.

Qor's acid washes over several of the defenders, some 'pirting to safety, those who have no easy means to escape melting away, the flesh falling from their bones, an Abisha's claws raking over his back before a Chasme rams it in midair, pulling its wings apart, the devil plummeting to the ground helplessly.

Raz'eth manages to rally a small squad of Doomguards and some mischevious vrock as well, ready to advance and strike where the line of the devil's will falter first, just awaiting Mauric's command. The Marilith remains unimpressed, her bodyguards rallied around her, watching the battle beneath.

The demons are of course not able to shield the advancing troops from all fire despite the commands given, some of the flaming rain still coming through, obliterating both demons and Doomguards.

Then a doomguard pushes a demon too far- and has his head taken off by a swift strike of the Rutterkin's blade. Quickly the demon is dispatched but true to their nature the fiends now turn on allies and foes alike, turning the battle into a bloody three way conflict- indeed some demons now attack randomly, whatever their claws may find. Only a few stay by the Doomguard's side, protecting them from their berserking kin.

Slowly the momentum of the attack fades and Qor and the scouting Ayase see the devils withdraw, Baator's forces saving their strenght while the forces of chaos and Entropy battle on the blasted plain below- but they also see the opening this retreat has caused- a quick strike, a decisive brutal move is all that is needed to get close to the walls, to get into the perfect position for the final strike.

When they drew near the walls.

"Halt! Do not advance further yet. Prepare for the assault and maintain defensive positions." He shouted Rising his blade with the broadside facing the fort to signal for those to not hearing the command. As he studied the grounds near the fortress and the fortresswalls themselves. Looking for a good spot to make a breach large enough to enter. The defences and what troops possibly defended itfrom insde in addition to the retreating devils.

"Scouts report back to me and hurry we don't have much time!" He pointed his blade to Qor then made a flourish ending in point down to signal his return. Having a superior view as he had.

"Keep the fireprotected men moving to attract the fireballs in front. Make a tortoise formation with your shields above your heads. The rest of the troops hide underneath it. Uplift one protected light trooper on each contingent on your shields if you cannot mount a flying creature to the position, that one will have to intercept the rain to lessen the impact at least to some degree. Spread the contingents and only draw closer should they attack in numbers. If they port in between charge them from behind while the assaulted contingent fight defensivly relying on charging men behind." Wary of a counter attack at this strage. Knowing the devils patiently waiting for the opportunity to strike at their most vulnerable movement.

The halt would only be brief however and if drawn out he would give the command of a rushed charged rather than to yield the advantage.

if mauric doesnt notice this and Qor doesnt go report to mauric himself , ayase goes to report it herself. Otherwise she keep scouting ahead as much as she her stealth and invisibility provides, aiming to near the basements of the walls or the hill they stand to look for passages and possible weaknesses.
