Maelya had long been a paladin of Tyr, a Tiefling trying to be accepted by celestial hands and redeemed.

Now that redemption had been stolen, perminently by a necromancer, something she felt a grim resignition too, but something she refuses to compleatley abbandon.

Tyr would no longer accept her, perhaps, but Kelemvor, a newfound lord of death was heard to be rising in the prime of her homeworld. If all was true then she could find some solace with this new found death god, as a champion of the damned.

But alas, it was not to be so, in the end Maelya, or Thelia Crimsonbane found herself accepting her new found home in the most unlikley of company.

It wasnt long before she became a Dustman namer, and dedicating herself to the preservation of the true dead she devoted herself instead to purging herself of all emotion and empathy for the living.

It pained her to remember a paladin named Chari long ago who had become everything in her life, and another named Aethor who tutored and cared for her.

But she would abbandon everything in time to embrace the truest of dooms.

She had become, one of the dead.
