The attacks against vampires had attracted the attention of another sentient undead. The lich calling itself The Gray Vizier appeared at the Mortuary, slowly walking with a rattle of bones and the tap of it's stave on the ground as it went inside to contact Factor Valios . The skeletal wizard would offer any aid it could provide in the defense of Sigil's undead residents.

As the lich arrives at The Mortuary it would find Emila applying make up to the face of a deceased Githzari. The time attention and even care she gives to making the creature presentable for its funeral far surpassing that which she'd waste on any living creature. She stops turns and asks the lich's opinion.

"Are the cheeks still too sunken do you think?"

She takes a second look herself.

"Are you here about the advert?"

Empty eye sockets gazed down at the prepared corpse. "Preservation of the flesh. Curious custom. You have offset the rot well for now, the other living won't have to be unsettled by what will come to them in time."

The Vizier leaned on it's stave, ice cold mist drifting from it's ribcage. "Yes. An assault upon the Awakened is an insult to all our kinds. I ask nothing in return for my assistance."

Kapaneus, a Namer of the Dustmen, would also lend his assistance against this potential threat. Looming around Factor Valios until he receives Orders.

Emila does not greet or acknowledge The Namer, but they are both dustmen what greeting is needed between to corpses. She does not send him away either and when she speaks to the lich it is plan enough to him and he can assume he is meant to hear it. She takes the vial of blood she has and hands it to the vizer.

"I wish to locate the owner of this please. Is there anything else you will require?"

The lich shook it's skull, taking the blood vial carefully. It would then wander off to an unused corner of the crypt, sitting down and taking out a small bowl carved of onyx. It popped the cork off the vial and let it flow down into the dish, one skeletal hand twisted into an arcane gesture that would prove painful to the eyes of any who stared too long. The other hand it waved slowly over the bowl as the lich hissed quietly in some long forgotten language, the blood within beginning to swirl and darken to match the color of the vessel. After a time, it would change to take the consistency of glass, forming symbols and portents which the undead wizard began to decipher.

After an hour or so, the Vizier would put away the bowl and return to Emila to share what it had seen:

"In the depths. The man is submerged, all warmth fled. The water bloats the body. Two torches shine through the murk above; a hand less it's arm his only company. Discarded refuse floats above the discarded man beneath."

"He's dead?"

She smiles

"That is the first bit of good news we have had. Now we just have to find him and question him."

Clearly Emila does not seem to be a handicap to answering questions.

"The scry has worked so he is in Sigil and given the description I would say Undersigil lake, the ditch or the lake by the slags. If each of you would be as kind as to take a team of collectors we can dredge one each."

If the others comply, you are able to recover the body of a large, bald man. He is now delightfully bloated and full of all kinds of interesting parasites, but initial tests suggest that this is indeed the man whose blood was shed at the first crime scene. You observe that he still has his hands intact (well, mostly), meaning the extra hand the lich mentioned must have belonged to someone else.

Emila takes the body deep into The Mortuary. She places it on a stone slab near the portal to the plane of fire. She reaches into her bag and places two clay urns, either side of the body, and she puts a dark onyx gem in the man's bloated open mouth. She would not resurrect him no. As a Dustman she did not encourage regression. Instead she'd make him much much more. She channelled negative energy into the body.

((Spell cast: Create Undead. She'd like a ghast is possible please.
