Day three and time was ticking, Valexia knew with a nervous face she could loose this situation, biting her lips.

She decided to dust herself off and speak openly to the judge.

"Your honour, I would make a request..." she implored desperatley. "The court is due to end today, but the Measure in charge of the investigation hasnt presented evidence yet, I would ask that the trial continues another three days to compile final evidence."

She bit her lip, she knew she couldnt force it, but at least she'd made her plea.

*Hildmor smiles momentarily* "I have a request as well, your honour and I am sure you'll find it appropriate. The new information should be about the current charges rather than any new ones. Also, the defense must be able to see the new report before it is admitted to court and an equal amount of time to re-question any individual deemed involved in it because it is rather clear how the nature of such a report in this situation we have might be very questionable..."

Judge Halmar: once more the judge considers the possible ramifications of the request before finally answering Ye'll be having a copy of tha evidence tha same time as I be havin' and agree ta tha rest. *slams his hammer to the table once at that decision again*

*Annavkah stood up to issue a brief statement regarding the current proceedings*

"Your honour, the case regarding Valexia versus Nienna, in response to threats of death against Valexia and her allies is technically filed as a separate case. However, if you were willing to incorporate it into this one, there is only one complication.

"The last witnessed who was named, a pale, white-haired elven woman by the name of Elvannrae, has yet to show herself. She's been described to me as a rather antisocial, private person, which may be why tracking her down is becoming frustratingly difficult."

((The real OOC reason for the as-of-yet uninterviewed witness is simply because both Annavkah and Elvannrae are played by me and I'm trying to find a third party to interview Elva so it doesn't come across as metagaming.))

*Hildmor smiles thinly*

"I disagree. The charges are unrelated to the case since the moment An'aroluth confirmed attacking and provoking first so if Nienna will be prosecuted for said charges, it should obviously happen on a separate trial. Thank you, your honour."

1) Who started warding themselves first, An'aroluth(you) or Nienna?

2) Did An'aroluth(you) indeed use the flat side of her blade? Did she(you) coat the blade with any sort of energy?
1) Geeze... it was a while ago, so it's hard to say... Nienna may very well have already been warded by the time the whole thing started... But when An'ar showed up she began to ward herself, so... It's difficult to say...

2) I don't recall if An'ar coated her blade with anything, though I don't believe she did. As I recall, she didn't really even hit Nienna, more of pushed her aside with the flat of the blade... Which, saying that would kill someone is like saying touching an enchanted blade will kill you *chuckles slightly*

As for my official witness statement, I'll stand by my initial report. I showed up just as the fighting started, god injured, watched a friend die... Then An'ar ran out, attempting to revive Valexia... After I was denied a chance to try it as well. As she approached, Nienna responded to her with several threatening and insulting comments, and... well it should all be in the report, right? *shakes her head slightly* All this legal babel makes my head spin...

*Annavkah informs the prosecutors that all the evidence she needed is compiled now, and she is ready to make a statement whenever, should it be needed.*

Judge Halmar: Lets just get on wit it... present tha court with tha evidence. 'Tis be endin' today.

((And otherwise (not aimed at Spehss Mehreen even if I'm quoting only her/him): quit the OOC. If you have issue with something in the thread, put it in PM to me, I'll just remove all OOC posts.))

*To begin with, Annavkah passed the prosecutors a copy of the new report.*

"Firstly, I apologize for bringing this evidence in as late as I did - it was not presented to me until about a day before the trial began, and I needed to investigate it before it would be presentable in court.

"The evidence I had gathered beforehand and passed onto the Fraternity of Order paints a fairly clear picture of events. From the testimonies gathered, the events in question began with Lorelei uninvitedly bursting into a room at the Spirit in which Nienna, An'aroluth, Valexia and Laera had been talking.

"Even through the haze of fighting, there was a clear chain of events from here that could be gathered - Lorelei threatened to banish Valexia, who threatened Lorelei in return. Lorelei then cast the Black Tentacle spell, slaying Valexia and gravely injuring several others. When An'aroluth and Laera attempted to revive and save Valexia, Nienna and Lorelei tried to prevent the two from helping, and while after a few moments, Lorelei backed down without any further violence, Nienna had goaded An'aroluth into acting. By her own admission, and the testimonies of others, An'aroluth had stuck first in this incident, though she stated that she had only meant to shove Nienna back with the flat of her blade, and that any damage was accidental. Of course though, Nienna fought back and slew An'aroluth, with Trixie arriving with several notaries at this point."

*Annavkah shuffled the papers in her hand briefly, grabbing the second report*

"At Valexia's request, and it should be noted that she requested this twice before I acted, I began an investigation into Nienna's character. Valexia stated both times she requested that she felt her life was in danger, and while I was reluctant to do anything the first time given that succubi can be rather manipulative, the insistence she displayed in bringing it forward again told me that perhaps this wasn't just manipulation.

"The second report is a series of testimonies from witnesses named by Valexia putting Nienna's character in question. She has been painted as a bit of a psychopath with a hatred of drow, fiends and tieflings that goes to an irrational level. The ones interviewed in this case were Valexia herself, Laera, Illia and an elven woman named Elvannrae. The first three were interviewed by me, and Elvannrae by Measure Chari.

"Each of the testimonies confirmed various threats being leveled not just at Valexia's person, but at Laera and Illia as well. Elvannrae, who was before the closest one to Nienna, stated that she fears for others' safety, and was the one that informed that Laera had been threatened as well.

"That is all I have unless anyone has any questions. The details, your honour, are in the reports you have been given, and I am also able to answer any questions regarding the evidence you might have."
