A response finally comes down the authority chain from the factols: the Mercykillers will keep the prisoner for 12 more hours for questioning. After this, he will be sent promptly back to Mechanus to finish his trial and punishment. The Mercykillers are to transcribe full reports of the proceedings and hand them over to the Fraternity with the prisoner. Red Smith is not to be tortured or harmed in any way while he is in the prison.
Letters have also each been sent to Garen and Charae from their respective Factols.
//said letters have been PM'ed; the 12 hours shall proceed at the speed of plot.

While the situation moves along, and finally leaves Garens desk for good, Garen sends a note to the Mechanus Bureau

The rest of the investigation went smoothly, and Red Smith was transferred back to Guvner care at the appointed time.
Meanwhile, Garen's note was not well received at the Mechanus Bureau. The Bureau Chief there was heard to say that all the Cagers thought themselves so high and mighty, and then proceeded to write very similar memos to his Administrators, who in turn passed it on to their Aides. In the end one unfortunate Aide whose job had been to package and send the paperwork was transferred to a dead end job, and not really heard from again.

As per the last orders from the Factol, Dace sends a report of the interview to the Fraternity along with the Guvners who came for Smith.

To those concerned,
As per instructions from our respective Factols, I have attached my report of the interview with the smuggler and Anarchist suspect Red Smith to this letter.
On behalf of the Mercykillers, I'd like to extend my thanks for all the assistance provided in this investigation thus far, and hope my findings- previous and current- prove useful to you and our Harmonium allies.
Sincerely,
Justice Dace Andor
---- Interview Report-----
The mine Red Smith had taken to "overseeing" is owned by a Fated Factotum by the name of Ahzar Lim. His whereabouts are as yet unknown by Smith, though he suggested that he may be at the Hall of Records. Lim apparently does not check on his mine very often ,thus leading to the security breaches that endangered the lives of the miners, as well as other civilians in the Mechanus outpost.
The officially posted overseer whom Red Smith took the place of was known simply as "George". He supposedly disappeared some time before, with rumours suggesting a fatal accident.
The documents Red Smith used to gain control of the mine were forged by a Hive dweller known as Raduz (or Radooz). He operates out of the Night Market, though the location of his office is unknown. I recommend the man be found and arrested.
When questioned on how he planned on getting the mined minerals out of Mechanus, Red Smith had this to say:
" My grand plan was to get my papers in order - courtesy of that Radooz guy - and just march the gems out of Mechanus. Guvners are easy to bypass when you have your papers in order. They're too busy looking for stray dots to notice actually suspicious things. Haven't figured out yet that only scoundrels have perfect paperwork, I guess."
Red Smith claims no responsibility for sabotaging the portal to the Earth Plane mine.
Smith was apparently in Arcadia recently, so I recommend the Harmonium check the locations around its nearest portal for sightings of Smith and possible signs of his activities there.
The prisoner refused to divulge any information on his associates who first brought him in contact with the other suspected Revolutionaries. I recommend using more severe methods to procure these names.
