Not to butt in, but halting the trial means leaving Reptiller's character in an unplayable state for an unknown amount of time, and that is kinda lame...

Nobody is halting the trial. I've just asked the defence to lay out their case first and to be patient.

And, as Mr_O rightly pointed out, Rep does have 3 other characters.

What? The server will come to a standstill if Hildmor can't be played? :o

And if he is found guilty, he will be unplayable for a lot longer than a week or two. (ok, we wouldn't enforce that...erm... well, i wouldn't.... but we would hope Rep would play along with it).

Ok, the defense can go ahead and layout their position.

Although it'll be a few hours before I post (gotta go to work) I have to ask... is the prosecution finished presenting their case?

Am I the only one who finds it odd that the person playing an evil criminal complains when he finally gets sent to court for his actions? How many has he had assassinated, anyway?

Rith is already planning a cake with a hacksaw in it for when Hildmor gets thrown into the big house. :P

((I have nothing against the affair itself but rather the way it is handled. Oh, another two days passed by the way and there's nothing IC that happened. Please, prosecution, whoever you are, crawl out of the woodwork and presend the damn case! ;) We do not have the actual statements yet, Khazeet's, Isendis' or Dom's. How the <<Happy Baby Seal>> do you expect us to lay out the defense?

And I wouldn't be that sure about that kind of sentence. ^_^

I'm going to wrap this up today. Post from prosecution should be within the next couple of hours.

Then feel free to make defence.

Please note, the evidence given in the posts will just be summaries. Otherwise we will end up with a 10 page long post.

In future, all such trials I think are going to have to be handled much simpler, a statement from both sides and a verdict and sentence from a DM playing the judge.

There is a fraternity member, trying to earn his stripes, who's suggested a way
