Bright and early one fine Sigil peak, a remarkably tall woman, bald and marked with strange illuminated patterns upon her bronze skin, strode into the side entrance of the city's court house. A royal purple cloak fluttered in her wake as confident, striding steps carried her to the front notary, whom she met with a wan smile. "Good day, young woman," she greeted, her tone sonorous and sure, her accent exotic, yet unspecific. "I am Saadi al-Rayf and this is my application for entrance into your fine organization."

Said applications were supplied in triplicate, exhaustively checked and filled out in a fine and legible hand to avoid any typical Fraternity nitpicking. In fact, Saadi had kept a fourth, identical copy for her own personal records.

"I'm ready to test immediately," she declared, her golden eyes steady upon the notary. "Or at the administrator's earliest convenience."

The clerk smiles after Saadi al-Rayf introduction and introduces herself as Ana. She picks up the application and takes no more than a minute as she look through the forms, making certain papers are signed and dated. Once satisfied, she stacks them neatly by tapping them lightly on the desk and tucks them under an arm. She reaches down and removes a key, then calls for another Frat member to work the desk.

She gestures for Saadi to follow her as she walks towards a room on the far left.

Happy to comply, Saadi trooped after the clerk, her gaze sweeping this way and that to examine the chamber and the Guvners who occupied it. "Thank you, Ana," she said upon arrival at the door. Then, shooting the clerk a charming smile and sly wink, she teased, "Do you have any advice?"

"Take your time but work quickly, and reading the question first." He smiles back and the door is opened to show a moderately sized room with a few rows of tables and desks. Each one has a set of papers, several writing instruments, an unlit small chandelier, and a small upturned glass. Ana gestures to one of the desks and walks over to a larger official desk where she sets down and takes out a time keeping device waits to start the clock.

"Thank you," Saadi said again, entered the room and selected the seat foremost to the administrator's desk. A quick check of the supplied writing instrument was conducted, ending with an approving nod of a bald head.

"I am ready," she told Ana, sitting quite primly with her legs folded, quill at the ready, golden eyes intent upon the awaiting clock.

Ana taps the device lightly, and it starts the obligatory clicking sound. "You have four hours to finish. Incorrect answers will count against you and this time around, unanswered questions will not hurt nor help. Good luck."

Quill touched to parchment the moment the clock set to ticking. Saadi had obsessively prepared for the initial examination, ravenously consuming the tedious jargon laden tomes and documents that spelled out Sigil's laws. Naturally, she had taken advantage of her psionic mind to commit each article, addendum and clause to memory in a way no layman could hope to match.

For hours the clock ticked, quill scratched. Not once did the bald woman look up from her examination.

Finally, Saadi's writing stilled the moment the clock silenced. Each and every question had been completely addressed, not a trace of clean paper remained where space had been provided for each answer. "I've finished," she told Ana, her hands folding primly upon her lap, her watch expectant for the next instruction.

Ana grins, walks over and picks up the paper. She inspects the work, flipping a few pages. She mouths a few things, scrunches her lips and hms a few times as she goes over the work.

"Wait here a minute" She leaves the room and returns with a small box and a glass pitcher. She opens it, presenting Saadhi with a shiny new Fraternity of Order badge. "You passed. Where it proudly. Orientation for new members will be a few days. It will be held upstairs, and you will receive your new assignments then as well." She walks over to her desk and pours a glass of water and encourages her to have a drink as refreshment.

She waits to answer any questions before leaving.
