A priority message is delivered from the Harmonium barracks to the Fraternity of Order.

The Gray Vizier has surrendered to the Harmonium out of their own initiative, and is now being held within the Harmonium Barracks holding cell.

The Harmonium wishes to press charges against the Gray Vizier on the following accounts:
FELONIES - Crime Spree INDICTABLE OFFENSES: - Four counts of assault (Against Miranda's Tower, Twice against Altair the indep, and against the Siren's Song) - Destruction of Property (Miranda's Golem) - Resisting arrest - Stalking - Tresspassing SUMMARY OFFENSES: - Dangerous Behavior - Disrupting the Peace - Unauthorized Use of Harmful Magic - Several counts of Wielding of Weapons in Public via Proxy (undead minions) [/li]
And also expresses that their initiative to surrender should be taken into count.

The Harmonium is still collecting together witnesses and evidences for the purposes of court, but wishes for preliminary preparations for a trial to get into motion.

Given his familiarity with the case, Xander Tyberus Grail, A6 volunteers his signature to represent either capacity of prosecution or defense for the case. Which ever would be required. Though if no prosecution is available, he will opt for that slot first and the Vizier will be left to their own to find representation.

I have to regretfully inform the Fraternity of Order that the Gray Vizier has escaped during the fourth day of captivity. Destroying their own body and leaving naught but dust behind, another count of resisting arrest will be added to the charges, and they will no longer be given benefit of being deemed willing to face justice by the Harmonium.

It is uncertain what has triggered this turn of events. The hunt continues and greater contingencies will be put in place to ensure this does not happen again.

The Fraternity was undeterred by the escape of the Vizier from Harmonium custody, and a date for the trial was set.

A small note was made that the accused should really be fined the amount that bail would have been, plus something extra for skipping out, and forwarded to the Mercykillers. Avoiding bail by suicide was simply not acceptable in the eyes of the law.

The judge assigned to the case was one Judge Gayle. Memos were sent out to those involved with all requisite information. Further notes were made that no lawyer had yet been registered as the defendant on the behalf of the Vizier. A few aides wondered out loud whether that meant he wasn't planning on coming to the trial. Certain administrators voiced the opinion that it would be rather better for him if he did; after all, who wants to be hunted by mercykiller justicars?

//If there are no objections, I would like to find a time to do this in game. Forums are convenient, but once upon a time on another server I was able to fit trials into 2 hour slots in game, which is oh so much faster. I am free anytime on Sunday, or on Monday, Thursday, or Friday evening (US Central Time, GMT-6).

The trial went forward on the appointed day. The prosecution brought forth witnesses attesting to the Vizier's crimes. The Vizier argued - on its own behalf - that it had been influenced by the goddess Eris, and that its crimes were not its own.

The judge admitted that it was possible that the Vizier might have been under some compulsion, but did not think it had been adequately proven. The Vizier was found guilty, and marched off to the prison for its punishment to be decided.

Sometime later, a representative of the Athar was seen leaving the Prison. . .

Word was later circulated throughout the Triad that the Vizier was indeed under a geas; but one of their own devising. For his punishment, he had agreed to help defend the city. He was required to obey the orders of Triad officers in matters regarding city welfare as long as he was not required to aid the work of any gods.
