Sigil: City of Doors

Laera walks into the courthouse, several days after the case concerning the Foul Old Spirit, and asks if she can make an appointment with Judge Halmar. She then sits calmly and waits, holding onto her pendant of Sune and praying.

The appointment is granted, he has brief moment to meet right away, or she can come again the next day during evening.

In either cases she'd be guided to the private office of the said judge where the familiar dwarf indeed is in.

The next day, Laera came into the office and sat down, full of resolve, and spoke to the judge:

Judge Halmar, your honor, I've come to talk about the restraining orders I have with Valexia and Nienna. I would like both of them removed. Nienna because I have worked out all of my differences with her, and Valexia because she means me no harm. Could I have this request granted?

The dwarven bureau chief (judge) looks at Laera for some time while stroking his rather hefty beard Maybe, I be needin' ta know more of yer situation with 'em both. An' oughta know if ye just be doin' 'tis under pressure.

Laera sighs, looking resigned, and begins her explanation:

This situation, all of it, has to do with matters of the heart. As a priestess of Sune, I am always working to cultivate love, wherever I may find it. Perhaps I have done this too well. The whole situation started, essentially, because both Valexia and Nienna fell in love wit me, and wanted to protect me from the other.

At first, Valexia did not love me, and merely wanted me. That's when she changed me, when I was confused, and lost. Nienna found me afterwards, and helped me to undo most of the damage Valexia had done to me, and helped me to recover my faith in Sune.

Since the incident, Valexia discovered that she loved me, and not merely wanted me as an object, or at least it seems so. Nienna did not believe that was possible, and wanted me to stop dealing with Valexia completely. Through this time, Nienna figured out that she loves me as well, and that is why she wants to protect me so much. All of this happened between the event at the inn and the conclusion of the trial.

After the trial, Valexia contacted me one last time and told me that she wanted this whole situation between herself and Nienna to end. She told me that I had to choose between them, or she would leave me herself and end this whole thing. Nienna, before, had said something similar, though not with quite as much finality as Valexia did this time.

...I'd prefer not to go into the processes of my own heart, as they are very personal, but the end results is that I have chosen to stay with Nienna, and given up Valexia as a lover. Nienna has agreed not to attack Valexia anymore, as she sees no more danger to those she cares about from Valexia. And Valexia, on her part, had agreed that no matter what my decision, she would still be a friend.

In light of all of this, I would like the restrictions between Nienna and myself removed because I wish to spend time with her, and the restrictions with Valexia removed because she is not dangerous to me. I still think it would be best if their own personal restraining orders against each other stayed, as they have difficulties speaking with each other, but I want to interact with both of them again, in Sigil, and neither want nor need these restrictions placed upon me.

There was no coercion involved. This is how I really feel. I just want to be able to express my heart's feelings, without the law getting in the way.

After her explanation, she falls silent, and watches the judge, waiting for his response.

The judge by this time had taken more comfortable position on his seat, leaning back and listening the explanation, nodding a couple of times and looking at her non-verbal behavior through the explanation, a final low thoughtful hum as she concluded followed by a prolonged awkward silence in the office room...

... after some time the judge finally speaks though Aye. a short begin and pause 'Tis be a good explanation... We just be needin' ta fill tha paperwork an' we be dun. the dwarf gets up from his seat and goes to shuffle through the shelves to retrieve four of parchments, which he promptly returns to the desk to reveal them to her. The papers seem to be officially labelled as "Restraining Order Revoking Form", the judge takes a inkjar and two quills to the table between them, dips one of the quills on the ink and then takes his stubby fingers to point at the parchment Arrite, I be needin' ye ta fill 'ere... 'ere... 'ere... 'ere... 'ere... these three... aaaaan' 'ere.

This seems like standard bureaucratic questions, nothing out of ordinary considering it's the Fraternity of Order. Meanwhile the judge seems to turn his attention to fill the 'other' parts in the other parchment... when both are finished, you'll switch around until all four of them are filled. (assuming she doesn't mind and is capable to write and all that)

Once all the bureaucrasy is done. Arrite, 'tis be concluded. 'Em both be revoked of their restrainin' order on ye. One copy ta ye, one ta Fraternity of Order an' one ta each of tha cuttahs.
