((Yes I do imagine their offices as cubicles))
Ven had been inducted and trained and all that matters now. He sighs as he goes from one person of rank to another delivering refreshments, or transporting documents or whatever else they ask him to work on. All in the same while, he is building up a list of all of the notable figures within the faction, as well as throughout sigil. Who knows when the names would be of use. He would obtain such usually by glancing over files between duties, or by overhearing such information.
Aside from that he does what he can to 'fit in' faction wise, Including attempts to go above and beyond his duties.

On his rounds, he may hear a strange rumour. Someone, or something, seems to be killing criminals and other lowlifes in Under Sigil Village...

He would keep a mental not of it. Next time he finds himself free, he would make a trip down there, and start looking into things himself, using another identity, complete with disguise, going by the name of Rogett, a down on his luck vagrant.

While at HQ delivering documents and notices and such, he decided to do more file-browsing and getting involved at the water-cooler so to speak. Mingling and gathering information. He specifically keeps an ear and an eye out for names of prominent Guvners members as well as more details concerning the situation in undersigil.
((A PM or a post letting me know what I find would be appreciated.))

He hears little new on the topic of the Under Sigil Village disturbances, perhaps more will appear in the future.
As for prominent Guvners, the name of an up and coming Administrator by the name of Garen Seph is mentioned more than once, especially in relation to the Hildmor trial, and a small rumour that he is going to be heading up something else soon.

He makes an internal note of it. He would now keep an eye out for information on Judge Mabel, and keep tabs on him as well as he can. He wouldn't be overt about it though.

He would also keep some long-distance tabs on Garen seph as well, In an attempt to find out more on this project of his, as well as attempting to glean details about his connections, family, friends and such. He would go about it as unobtrusively as possible. But he would specifically be prioritizing information on the project he is heading. He may not gain much though as he continues to keep tabs on Judge Mabel.
In the meantime, he would keep performing his duties and such to the best of his abilities in order to start climbing in rank (kissing ass if need be), and do what he can to befriend others of his rank, keeping an eye out for any that might be ripe for manipulation, to become his little birds so to speak. ((becoming informants themselves for his purposes.))

After a long day of running files, Ven would seek out the bulletin board, or a higher up to see if there are any assignments available. Other than that he finishes up his current study of the laws and requests to take the test to get promoted to A10. He would use whatever contacts he has to make sure the test would be "Available" to him, greasing palms and kissing arses if need be.
((If a DM can get back to me on this, it would be appreciated.))

((Your faction point tool can tell you how many you need. For Fraternity and Harmonium the first ranks are very cheap, because there are lots of ranks, and all factions require the same number of points in total (100) to reach the top rank.
To earn points as you know, do faction related RP and stuff for your faction. The general guidelines though are the higher you get, the more valuable your RP needs to be for the cause of the faction.
So, sure, i don't mind dropping a point or two for some easy faction RP at low ranks, but when you get up to Factotum/Factor level, the points come harder, although for something really impressive I would hand out multiple points))
The test for A10 would be available to take, although Ven's attempts to grease palms was largely met with disdain. Comments such as:
"This ain't the Takers boy" and "Do I look like I need money?" were stated.
((I'll give you promotion in game if you have the requried points... i think its a massive 1 point for first rank))
