A Visit To Hograth's Office

Ra'zeth, Factotum of the Takers, has just now turned up at the Harmonium's Barracks on his own will, and to make things even more odd, submitted his entire arsenal of weaponry to the Reception Officer. All he said was that he wanted to see Hograth, and it was urgent... and judging by the look he gave the guards present, they knew something bad was going to happen.

The Halforc looks up as the Drow is shown into his office, his table covered by the paperwork that proportionally increases with the rank.

As he notices the state the Drow is in he gestures to the chair on the opposite of the table.

"Ra'zeth. Please sit." He gets up to get the drow a cup of tea- there is no alcohol to be found in his office of course but there is some found in the flat bottle hidden in his uniform and a shot of some clear liquid is added to the tea.

"What happened? What's going on?"

After a lenghty conversation and having a Notary shown Ra'zeth to a cell Hograth writes all necessary reports to make sure the drow is kept in custody for fortyeight hours.

The official reason is drunkeness and violent threats uttered against the public while being intoxicated. Maybe there will be a fine, a scolding from the drow's superiors but two days time will be very welcome.

Quickly he writes a letter to Alhdrano- sent to the Flayer by a Skeleton Hograth rises later in the Hive:

Sir,

I request you assistance. The drow who had contact with your called and bound creature still sufferes of nightmares, claiming to have visions of the Far Realms.

I hope you can free the Factotum from this condition or show him a way how to do it himself.

After delivering the message said skeleton is destroyed again- the remains blessed in the name of the Ruby Sorcereress.

Before Hogarth gets a response from the mindflayer a letter arrives on his desk.

Measure

It has come to my attention you hold Factotoum Ra'zeth of the Fated.  The Factotum has been exposed to the horrors of the far realm.  We would benefit  greatly from studying his condition.  Please see the enclosed order for his transfer to The Gatehouse.

Hograth frowns, utters a few selected curses and reads over the transfer order a second time in frustration.

How did he find out? And so quickly? And who is this meddling annoyance?

He will have to find out and he will not get Cat involved so he will have to choose official channels.

Quickly he pens a letter to the Fraternity, then he gets his two most trusted Notaries and heads over to the cells.

Of course as measure he has subordinates who are more than able to oversee a simple prisoner transfer but this time it is a more personal matter.

With a sigh he gets down to the cell to tell his prisoner and friend the dire news.
