An Internal Investigation

"He did what?" Mover Three, Flatash, roared; irritation quick to find his features as he stood from his desk. The sudden movement and subsequent impact of crimson greaves against the wooden edge was enough to set coffee cup askew, porcelain mug tumbling from surface to shatter on the tiles below. In the wake of his superior's temper, the unfortunate Namer tasked with the delivery of news fought the urge to flinch. "C-Caved his face in, Sir." stammered the recruit, gloved hands tightening around the halberd in his grasp. Both heavy hands found the surface of the table, face down, with a steady thud and the accompaniment of an unwavering gaze from scarlet-clad messenger. "Speak."

"S-Several witnesses claim t-that Namer Valthor marched into the Grand Bazaar with his weapon drawn, Sir. After shouting exclamation that a man by the fire, the accused, was attacking him... h-he went mad. Reports state he kept repeating that he was acting in self-defense and attempted to cave in the skull of the accused who offered no resistance. A bloody scene, Sir. No warrants in place."

Flatash exhaled a long breath that flared his nostrils and narrowed golden eyes on the delineating Namer. "Where are they now?" he questioned tersely through thinned lips, large frame hunched over the desk between men. The younger Hardhead swallowed thickly. "Namer Valthor was seen dragging the body from the Bazaar, Sir." he explained, timidly. "The accused, a warrior I believe, is currently in holding cell forty three. He's in bad shape."

"Release him," the Mover barked, one second short of instantaneous. "And see him escorted to the House of Healing for Treatment." Drawing himself back from the desk and the paperwork piled thereupon, Flatash released singular gravely note in throaty growl; though whether derision was expressed for the situation itself, the threaten of golden harmony, or instead how the affair would reflect on the Harmonium as a whole, remained unclear. With no warrant and a lack of paperwork surrounding the events, there lacked evidence that would suffice to keep the injured man incarcerated. "Get Valthos in here immediately," the mover demanded, scarlet metal sheets scraping against one another with the aasimar's movements.

"I want all eyes on this recruit in the meantime, understood? Have one or two of the active Namers report in. I want them to collect witness statements, if there are any whom would step forward. And by the grace of all that is holy, send me the first able-bodied officer from Internal Affairs."

((There was some OOC confusion about this, I noticed, with most people deciding to retcon away the episode due to the display of (apparently) non-consentual pvp and godmodding.))

(( The matter was handled by a DM (myself). The players who witnessed the event in the bazaar are welcome to retcon seeing it/their involvement but the matter still requires being followed up IC after speaking with the players of those involved. What occurred between the two was consensual, the affect on the scene and the populace was discussed.
