Incident brief: Unknown figured wearing red robes and trailing filth and miasma was seen entering the Fat Candle. Concerned citizens raised an alarm and upon investigation, myself and several other planeswalkers decided to track down this person for questioning. Suspect fled into the Market Tunnels. Where we found numerous undead, which were raised by means of a flesh burrowing wormlike parasite. Sample has been sent to archivists to see if we have anything of this creature on record. Tracking the suspect led us to find many bodies. Some which fit recent missing persons cases. Most either had the worm infections, or seemed to be bodies kept in storage. We were waylaid in the tunnels by droves of undead, which allowed the suspect enough time to gain a head start on us. We were able to glean that it had fled to under sigil city. Where we discovered a portal, and the suspect. A full scale assault of the undead ensued, including the presence of an Angel of Decay. Sharon Raynesford believes this to be the work of Atropus, again, our archivists will have to pull up everything we know about their activities and intentions. We were successful in driving back the dead hordes, and the portal summarily was closed.
People of all Wards of Sigil are encouraged to use extreme caution when traveling in the under sigil. Any worms or maggots there are to be avoided at all costs. If the skin burrowing parasites should infect you, cut out the parasite yourself or seek immediate medical assistance from the Dustmen. A revised public report has been sent to the leaders of all organizations and factions in sigil. I would recommend our own personnel to be outfitted with detection of undead. As well as fire and disease ridding magic for their protection and the protection of others.
