Just after anti-peak, reports from patrons of the Foggy Stein in the Hive Ward claimed that five armed individuals attacked and killed a number of employees within the tavern. Upon investigating the scene, the on-scene officer, Measure Durundan states that he saw that the five arsonists had set up bombs throughout the building. Before the Harmonium could stop them, the armed group set off the bombs. It is unclear whether the arsonists made it out of the building or not.
The five arsonists were disguised and appeared to be trying to impersonate Xaosmen, though it is unclear what their true affiliation was.
Notary II Edward Ruthen was killed in the blast while two other notaries were badly injured.
Investigation into the matter is pending.

A recently promoted Justice Sevdi took it upon herself to investigate on behalf of the Red Death. With intention to mostly stay out of the way of any harmonium involvement, she decided her first acts would involve questioning locals and witnesses. She typically wasn't much of a people person but had an understanding of both using her faction's reputation and her own unnerving nature.
The psion's line of questioning revolved around number of suspects, the owners and inhabitants of the building, as well as their activities.
Regardless of her success or failure to shake up and shake out information, Sevdi later moved towards the burned out structure itself. If there happened to be harmonium patrols or investigation she took to observation to find gaps in their shifts. At which point she would move in to thoroughly study the damage and burn patterns of the rubble. Not being experienced in the ways of alchemy she instead counted on some basic study (Alchemy 101
) to help locate clues to document. This was helpfully done with a combination of psionic hypercognition and a Pen of Excellence.
If there were any deceased left behind from the hands of ragpickers or Dustmen they were also given a careful study for injuries. These were also likewise given detailed representations via notes and drawing.
Tools used:
Skills: Intimidate for questioning, Lore for referencing notable details to write down, and if applicable, healing to determine causes of death for any remaining dead.
Pen of Excellence to accurately render needed information for future reference.

The presence of a Mercykiller so deep in the Hive was enough to get a few of its residents talking amongst each other, the occasional glare here, the inconspicious individual ducking into an alley there. All the same, they kept their distance, not want to attract any undue attention to them.
Some Hivers could be seen talking to the psion, no doubt a bit guarded and anxious to be rid of her.
