Questions For The Factotum

Chari wastes no time and finds the factotum that mans the front desk in the harmonium barracks. She asks him what information he has on two people, one a doctor, abducting people for the purposes of playing a game. She tells him that a Mercykiller was the latest target, so this is now a high priority threat.

The factotum sighs and rubs his salt and pepper beard for a moment before reaching into the desk and handing Chari a very thin folder.

The folder contains a single piece pf paper.

Incident 1: We have gotten word that three planes walkers and a lycanthrope have been abducted and forced into what is being called "A game of redemption". The three individuals were each placed into diabolically created devices and forced to work together to escape their confinments lest they all perish. One woman was strapped to pair of iron golem's that were designed to essentially draw and quarter her, the woman lost one of her arms to this device. The lycanthrope was secured to a machine that kept up a steady incineration of the man. The third woman was confined into a cage with magical walls reported to close in on the woman to eventually crush her into dust if the other two died. We don't know much else about this situation except that a Mimir was on sight to explain their situation and the rules they had to follow.

Incident 2:The second incident involved the mercenary named Odette and a few of her associates. The group was enjoying a private conversation when the doors and windows to the building slammed shut. They found a mimir near the main doors to the establishment who explained to the group that they needed to find the way out before the tasteless, odorless gas being pumped into the building ignited and killed them all. The group ensured their safety when lady odette discovered blades inside the mimir and inserted all of her fingers into the device to fill vials full of blood which allowed them to escape, the mercenaries fingers were shredded by the device.

Incident 3:We have no living witnesses from the third reported incident. The Harmonium discovered this "game" site after being asked to check on a macabre odor that was reported to come from a residence in the clerks ward. Our troopers found a house covered with bloody, thick concentrations of razor vine and two corpses tangled within. The group of planes walkers that investigated discovered a mimir in the bedroom that identified the tags of the two bodies, Anthony and Jacob. The mimir warned the brothers that their long spree of crippling and maiming individuals and then studying how long it took them to die had come to an end, and that the brothers were given broken limbs and forced to try and crawl through the razor vines to the outside of the house if they wanted to live. They didnt make it.

Incident 4: Last week, a house fire in the market ward ended up killing over two dozen men involved in Sigils Slave trade and their leader as well as several dozen slaves. The fire wasn't deemed suspicious until the group of heros entering the blaze discovered a mimir in the leaders bed room which spoke of the slavers having to work with their slaves in order to survive and complete several puzzles before the house caught fire and killed them all, going so far as to tell the slavers that their lives for once, where in the slaves hands.

We have heard of another incident within the last cycle here in the city but we have not begun an official investigation into the matter nor has anyone come to us with information.

We have heard rumors from other planar cities of similar situations where individuals have been forced into sick twisted games of life and death, all with a mimir present. The reports of of these events coincides with a month or two of silence here in Sigil but it now is clear that the "Mimir Killer" has returned.

We have heard a few whispers that who ever is doing this is incredibly intelligent and has lead us to believe that he has knowledge indepth medical and mechanical knowledge as well as powerful magics OR he may have associates who do and should this "doctor" ever been located EXTREME CAUTION is to be used.
