I, Notary One Nica Brianna Kelter, came across Kelti in the Great Bazaar during off-duty. Our brief conversation lead to the discovery of their twisted curiosity to corpses and decaying of such. While a perverse set of talents, they have also convinced me that they'd be a capable candidate to find out the cause of death with high success rate on humans, and relatively high success rate on humanoids.

Upon further inquiries they have expressed to be willing to participate into courts as an "expert" on the subject.

Their prices preliminarily range from two (2) to three (3) platinum cog coins. Price variation depends upon additional expenses of supplies expended during the autopsies.

Kelti, a Fated Namer can be contacted by leaving a message to the Hall of Records either to her directly or to her superior called "Rhistel Aidan".

A brief reply message is affixed to the message board.

I believe that the Harmonium conducts its autopsies in-faction for the most part, with input from Mercykiller experts. This Fated is likely hoping for the chance to sell privileged criminal proceedings information to interested parties, if not the chance to make jink tampering with evidence.

I would not advise that anyone utilize these services unless expressly authorized to do so by your commanding Measure.

While we shall cooperate with the other factions in Sigil we must never forget their own aims and philosophies, nor our own responsibilities and mission in Sigil.

When hireing help from Factioneers of non Triad factions we have to remember that their loyality lies within the ranks of their own faction and they will not hesitate to use whatever informations gained to further their own faction's need.

We have to tread carefully along this path as cooperation is necessary and is the key to harmony and peace but we must never forget who we are, what we do and what was entrusted to us.

Notary Diona pauses before the updated message board and considers the new note. She then nods and moves on, having little to add to the Mover's words.

A note is left as an reply to notary one Diona.

The enemies of peace will not wait for us to wise up to their tactics, it is our duty to improve and keep a varied field of information sources available rather than isolate ourselves to standardized training. Training sets a good presedence, but does not always function in every and all situations of reality.

While it is tempting to be self-sufficient, which the Harmonium is without any question, we should also acknowledge where our strengths rely, which isn't going to be autopsies if you ask anyone, and be ready to utilize services of external talents in order to expand our own capabilities in the fields. In similar ways such maintains less hostile diplomatic relations as long as the other side understands that the Harmonium is not dependent on them.

Peace through might,

Notary One, Nica Brianna Kelter
((In short, I believe in expanding player to player interaction, and since there's not really many characters providing autopsy services, least of all in Harmonium, I think it's in everyones best interest to find reasons to involve other players rather than NPCs. ^_^ ))

What I would say, is that we should be very selective in how we collaborate with other factions, and that said collaborations should not be undertaken without a mind to the other faction's core beliefs. Exposing our ability to correctly interpret a crime scene, and thus our ability to do our jobs competently and maintain our authority in the Cage, to direct interference by a faction whose philosophy espouses greed, selfishness, and ambition at all costs seems most unwise.

Similarly, the Doomguard are very skilled and capable warriors. Does this mean we should hire on Doomguard retainers when next we need to put down a mob? Could they do the job? Effectively. Should they do it for us? No.

That said, it would make perfect sense to me to utilize this Fated's professed expertise to help supplement the training of our officers. If she seems truly amenable to the promotion of Harmony rather than self-gain, then in time she will join us... if not, then we benefit from this association without putting ourselves at undue risk. (In the above hypothetical with the Doomguard, learning from their methods where force is necessary is logical, even where allowing them to take part is not.)

((I agree with promoting inter-faction RP, but I think there's a reason that most police forces do not employ freelance coroners, and that it would be stretching credulity a bit for the Harmonium to do so when they have an entire Prime to call on for resources (and thus probably have plenty of coroners). RPing training sessions though could be fun and also not expose the faction to infiltration!))

((If you read through my charcters response you will notice that he is not telling them off- he just tells them to be careful and not to trust too easily. :)

Hograth has a long history with dealing with members of many factions- but his experiences with alliances were a mixed bag.

I am all for promoting RP but of course my character's actions are guided by what he thinks right- and reminding the Notaries to be careful is his job now.

It is RP- and I was writing his response in a way that it does not block whatever you guys plan but is still appropriate to his rank and function. ;).))

A second reply would be tacked to the first.
