Disturbed by a great number of events recently to the order of Sigil and the Planes, The Dragon Junathoraxus ponders events while reading some basic lore about fey. He decides to act.

The vigilant Namer spends the next several days around the Barracks seeking the council of known CONFORMATISTS ((read hardheads volume 3)) and attempts to convince them of his plight.

:cursing: :cursing: :cursing:

The argument he makes is simple, yet compelling.

While the SEELIE COURT is known to migrate between YSGARD, ARBORIA, & THE BEASTLANDS, the Evil UNSEELIE COURT is relegated to a realm far more distant upon the great wheel: PANDEMONIUM.

For a small number of UNSEELIE to be '''out of their place''' and causing havok within THE BEASTLANDS - a matter he reminds his fellow HARDHEADS was set to order during the Dragon's reign in Brux - For an ASPIRING POWER from PANDEMONIUM - the Pale Prince - to establish his dominion within THE BEASTLANDS - one of the UPPER PLANEs - casts imbalance upon the Great Wheel itself.

HARMONY MUST BE RESTORED!

   :

[superellipsis]

There is a second matter which troubles the dragon, and to this he seeks the council of those within the Harmonium who would ensure that the order remains pure and dedicated to its Ideals.

Following a publication by the Dragon in SIGS, where he as a private citizen denounced the Pale Prince and the Fey who wage war against Sigil, having attacked it many times, the dragon has not only received retort from select prominent individuals in the public, but from within the very Harmonium itself! Attempts have been made not only to discredit him, but furthermore suspend him from his service.

At a time when the Harmonium needs to reinforce its authority in Sigil and reassure its populous, as they have already endured audacious attacks from the Pale Prince and these wayward Winter Fey, such shows of disunity at best makes the faction appear weak, and at worst impotent and irrelevant.

There can be only one explanation for such a series of events. The chaotic weavings of FEY MAGIC and influence have infiltrated our ranks and distorted their purpose!

The dragon submits as evidence script published by suspected fey sympathizers who's loyalty to the City of Doors is in question.
wrote: having spoken to a number of Harmonium myself, the overwhelming opinion seems to be that your many claims of loyalty have divided your obligations to the faction (rather unharmoniously) and that they will not support your actions in Brux.

"Is it I who sows division?" the Dragon asks while addressing a group sympathetic to his plight in the courtyard, "or have the Harmonium succumb to the misdirection and magics of mulling Fey and as their army stands upon our doorstep serves their interests?" He holds up the SIGS article "What is this!??! If not evidence, that the fey not only seek to disrupt our unity and clarity of purpose... but that they already have!!!" ((they may take our lives!!... oh wait...)).

The dragon urges his brothers and sisters in arms steel themselves against this threat, and mobilize an INQUISITION, to purge such sedition from within the ranks of the the Harmonium, and if necessary, entirely from the City of Doors.

HARMONY, AT ANY COST!!!

"Namer Junathoraxus!" shouts an aggravated female tone, though that was nothing out of ordinary from notary one Nica as she hastily marched to the courtyard having heard the commotion, not in time to stop the said speech of course, but considering the slight pant, with a rush. She was armored exception of her helmet this time around, having prepared for the expedition later that day. "You are acting above your rank, namer!" she shouted at him marching right next to them, continuing. "You have a complaint, you write it to your superiors! You have a suggestion, write it to the superiors! You have concerns about the security, write a bloody evaluation and counter strategy against it!"

Turning toward the others gathered. "Harmonium is not a popularity contest nor is it a bloody democracy. You all signed up to the faction knowing we go by a protocol, hierarchy and orders. Anyone who thinks differently. Feel free to show some guts and speak out."

She'd let people speak their mind, but regardless she'd turn toward namer Junathoraxus, in the public display she'd extend her hand with palm up. "Namer Junathoraxus. Your badge. You are relieved from duty for the duration of my expedition and are free to re-think your position in the Harmonium. Once I return, we will talk, and then I will consider if you deserve to get the badge back. Your Harmonium equipment are not to leave the barracks until given permission to." if Junathoraxus obliges and hands over the badge (if not, I will edit in alteration!), she'd say in an authorative tone. "Dismissed!" pointing toward the exit.

She'd again address anyone gathered there "Harmonium will be restored, but it will be done orderly. Show's over, get back to your duty." of course it'd be quite the speech from a notary one, considering she was barely higher ranked than Junathoraxus himself.

Junathoraxus surrenders his badge and departs without comment. He can only hope that his words have floated up to reach the ears and stirred the hearts of those of true vigilance within the order who would shake it from its complacency ((namely the internal lore based groups within the order who's views are reflected)).

Notary Diona would be on hand to assist Nica in dispersing any that had actually come to listen to this speech. Afterwards Diona would approach Nica.

"When you are next off duty, we should have a little chat."

Nica would nod, she seemed in slightly better mood now that the situation was over. "I'll be sure to give you heads up. Though my suggestion is outside of the Bazaar. Last time I was there off-duty, I ended up in the Barracks to fill paperwork for hours." extended her hand for shaking "May've heard it already, the name's notary one Nica. Thank you for the assistance."

As the dragon gave his speech, Measure One Cryptbane observed from an open window over looking the courtyard. He frowned at every sentence out of the dragons mouth and shook his head knowing it was time to ink a response to Factol Sarin, for better or for worse.

He then smiled proudly when Notary Nica descended upon her charge with all the disipline and fervor he expected from her.

As he stepped away from the window to ink a response to the Factol, he reminded himself again to continue to support the Notarys promotion.

Vale stands near the rear of the Room watching the spectacle and shaking his head in dissappointment at that way the Dragon seems to Handle himself.
Also Noteing how Nica handles the situation in accordance with what she's been tasked to do as Junas Re-evaluation officer.
Vale notes down that a Commendation which would be taken into account the next time Nica is up for Promotion Review, is to be written once time presents itself.

((*sighs* Hate to go OOC... but I have to say, I'm a little disappointed at the clear lack of support ... and would ask everyone to reconsider the faction lore and roles of factions in stimulating server RP. The worst enemy of good RP is the tendency for everyone to gravitate to some sort of post-modern multicultural handholding as everyone's default position. The setting, and incidentally why we love it if you stop to think about it, is that of a fantasy realm of extreme axiomatic opposition, and Sigil is a city ruled by dread and fear, enforced by the Hardheads... who are steadfast in believe they are right and justified... The goal should be not to make factional interaction smooth, and peaceful, and happy... it is to make it Authentic... while making sure everyone is still having fun playing the game...

I also have to say, the only support I have received for any of this has been OOC appreciation messages from pretty much all of my IC nemeses... and that's the point.))

((The problem isn't his stance at all on my opinion. Distrust, racism and antagonism of the fey, or any other species/social standing, is perfectly fine in my books, I even encourage it. The problem is how he's going at it. If you think about it, Junathoraxus is a namer or notary I'm not even sure which anymore, that is still on the bottom of the pile in hierarchy. Nica speaks authoratively, but she always primarily seeks the approval of superiors and reports her findings. Junathoraxus writes into S.I.G.I.S. without really consulting other Hardheads or his superiors, which is why Nica considers him a "loose-cannon", if she knew what a cannon was in anycase. Any members actions reflects to the faction itself and that's the source of dislike. He's trying to choose what the Faction should do and look like without even trying to work with the other members into making it that way or work out some acceptable compromise.

Junathoraxus again chose to try to rally people not by hierarchy, but by techniques more common to non-militaristic organizations which are preaching on the streets. This doesn't strike well to Nica, and I assume other Hardheads, who like to think themselves above street rabble like the Anarchists and Indeps, and that means at least some discipline and order.

Nica didn't exactly bust in there telling what he said was wrong either I might add. =P To her it was a rallycall for insubordination, not an encouraging speech about how fey totally deserves a roughing up.

Then we have to talk about his personal stake in all of this: Junathoraxus on his own, tried to occupy a portion of the Beastlands, lost their lands and now tries to rally other Hardheads into occupying it. It's an easy case to point out that it really has nothing to do with Harmonium when it appears to be his own personal mission.))

((Yeah, the above speech was a public (within the faction) accusation of corruption toward the higher-ups, and an attempt to rally sects which are not always in line with Harmonium orthodoxy to defend the actions of a Notary.

The Harmonium is basically a military-police organization, and that was (given his recent assignment under Nica) very much breaking the 'chain of command'. If you're asking for a less modern take on how a military would deal with this, most medieval/ancient militaries would straight up have Juna executed for doing this.

To put it in a modern context, a beat cop in an American police force chatting with reporters without the Chief's say-so is going to get reprimanded, and possibly fired depending on the circumstances. That same beat cop then going back to the office, standing on a desk, and yelling to the other beat cops to purge the department of corruption is probably going to be arrested, regardless of how 'right' he might be.

In truth, I think this is exactly how a Bronze Dragon would act. They are keenly focused on justice, and arrogant enough to think that all other beings should defer to their judgement on matters...but OOCly you should keep in mind that I think Juna's been treated with perhaps an excess (from the point of view of how Harmonium is normally RPed) of fairness to OOCly ensure that you get the most out of your RP.))
