Guvners have sent open warrant which is quickly briefed by Movers of the Harmonium for the lower ranked members.

There has been a situation in the Hall of Records and the culprits are to be brought to justice, every namer member of the Fated may be questioned and house searched openly until end of investigation as per agreement with Factol Duke Rowan Darkwood.

No archives may be touched by any other than members of Fated or by permission of a Factor or Factol themselves.

The situation is explained as:
wrote:Two events come to the public's attention later that day.

The first is the discovery of the badly burned body of the librarian. Sometime during the night his body had been placed by the wall of the Hall of Information. The chest had been washed clean and then inscribed with the word "Fool". Underneath that was a rough drawing of a serpent.

The second, which was actually discovered first, but only later connected, was the family of the aforementioned librarian found dead in their home. A wife and two small children, who looked as though they had been killed in their sleep by a sharp blade, their throats cleanly cut, their deaths swift and relatively painless. The house itself had been ransacked although no clues emerged as to what the intruder had been looking for or whether they found what they were looking for. However, the intruder seemed to have paid most attention to any and all pieces of paper and parchment, suggesting they were looking for information rather than gold or jewellery.

The SIGIS reporter covering the incident almost was beaten to death after publishing a joke in bad taste about how Hive Ward residents are these days willing to kill children to get a good education.
Also worth of noting, all the high ranked record keepers have been killed one after another.

After some careful questioning and investigations the following facts were discovered by Harmonium officers:

Most of the bodies were not found where they were killed. Only the first librarian's family were definitely killed where their bodies were found.

A landlord was later found dead, his cellar had obviously been used for some grisly deeds with the walls covered in blood. The dustman attending put the time of death of the landlord as fairly recent, within the last few hours, indicating the murderer was probably still in the city.

Further questioning indicates that it may have been a young female who had been seen frequenting the landlords home, cloaked she was, but movements and voice suggested human. Dark hair was claimed by one witness, although others claimed differently.

It went without saying that highly recognised and due for promotion Measure One Kordiva had sent every last Notary of the rapid response team she could send. She was begining to grow weary with the citizens of Sigil and the constant level of incompitence that its people displayed.

There were also rumors that the Measure had been known to grow emotional fits of temper behind closed doors, her office had been trashed at least once due to the recent news.

She had however kept her office neat and tidy, despite the rumors, it was evident they were just rumors...

...for now.
