Warrant for the Search and Seizure of Ashen Blade
Posted: Sun Jan 30, 2011 12:00 am
The following document has been delivered to the Harmonium barracks with Hildmor's and Chari's names attached.
Warrant for the Search and Seizure of the Ashen Blade
This document represents further action necessary in the case against the Ashen. Current records indicate that the defendant, the Ashen, is deceased. However, recent discovery of the Ashen Blade may suggest that the part of the Ashen's consciousness may still live within the blade. If this is the case, then the trial may still be possible.
Evidence:
The following evidence suggests that the Ashen Blade may still contain the essence of the Ashen.
1. The blade in the past has affected its users, bringing them under the will of the Ashen.
2. The current wielder of the blade has admitted publicly that there may be sentience within the blade.
The following persons may execute this warrant:
Hildmor d'Kridis, prosecutor acting on behalf of the Harmonium
Chari the Just, Harmonium
Limits of Warrant:
This warrant permits the executors above to search for and obtain the Ashen Blade from its current wielder, a golem known as Grimcore. The blade will then be studied for sentience. Evidence of sentience will be brought to the designer of this warrant, Serina Aerlin. If the sentience is found to be sufficient for trial, the blade will remain in custody of the Harmonium until the sentience can be removed or the trial's decisions are concluded. If the sentience is found to be insufficient for trial, then the sword must be returned to its last known owner, Grimcore.
It is expected that the owner, Grimcore, will relinquish this item upon presentation of the warrant. Failure to comply will be considered interference in legal proceedings. The item may be taken by force and the owner, Darkcore, may be arrested under Sigil law losing all rights of having the item returned or compensated.
Should the item be damaged or destroyed in the process of studying it for sentience or attempting to remove such sentience, the Harmonium will be responsible for compensating the owner, Grimcore, with a blade of equal abilities, value, or nearest proximity to such.
Any inquiry as to further details of this judgement should be brought to its designer, Serina Aerlin.
Signed,
Serina Aerlin, Fraternity of Order Rank A3
