Report of a assult or possible murder

Mara wonders into the barracks, quite shaken of what she saw. It takes some time before she can get the story straight.

"It was a woman in a hood, she had blue skin. Kept on calling for someone she called the 'sinner' to appear in the bazaar. A demon-blooded woman appeared, quite confused dressed in black and had wings. The hooded blue skinned woman then used magic to break her hands-"

Mara shudders visibly at the memory but carries on.

"She then disappeared in a flash of light. There was a scream a few moments later, and we saw the demon woman had been thrown onto the ground, and lying in a pool of blood. She must have fallen from an incredible height. It was horrible. We tried to save her but her injuries were too severe. The hooded woman appeared again, and took the body from us. She then indicated that she was going to restore her to do it all over again. She said that she deserved it! That she was a murderer and a sinner and..."

She looks at the harmonium guard. "I don't know if its true what they say about the demon bloods. But I'll never forget that look of terror in her eyes. You got to find this woman! You have to stop her.."

*Mathias takes a look over the report, and decides to start asking a few questions around the Bazaar*

Spyder, having been looking for Mathias since the failed assault on the Pit Fiend, finds him asking questions about this occurance. Spyder approaches him and informs him he witnessed it going down, albeit at a distance, initially. When someone yelled help, he approached to render assistance, only to see them teleport away, the victim already injured around her hands. Shortly after, a scream and a sickening crunch came from the Gymnasium/Lady's Ward end of the Baazar and a number of folks investigated, to find the shattered form of the victim, now pulverized in a pool of expanding blood.

The one who'd apparently done this claimed it was done to avenge some dead children, and when it was mentioned such punishment was that of the doomguards, not her own province, she insisted she had to do it. Asked if she was vigilante, she answered in the affirmative.

Not having the duty of an Harmonium Officer, also clearly outmatched by the arcane power of the woman, most including Spyder, chose not to attempt any form of unlawful violence or apprehension of the woman, as she'd not yet directly assaulted others, so such could not be construed as self defense.

If you want more, Spyder goes on to say, it better be over some whiskey and a decent meal, cause he's starving after campaigning in Hell all day.

Consider it dictated testimony from a scribe who took it down as Spyder reported such to Mathias.*

Report - Upon a cross examination of the witness, she recalled a woman named Natasha that identified the killer as one "Sanity's Eclipse". It is recommended we find this Natasha and see what she knows about this killer.

Mathias thanks Spyder for his assistance, and promises to go have a drink as soon as he's allowed to take his armor off. He then promptly relays this interview through proper channels.

Cratten after hearing of this in the Barracks rubs his chin thoughtfully. "I think I saw the sodding berk... hmm..." leaving that subject hanging there, then at Mara "Can ye describe her with better accuracy? Sketch a picture or something perhaps? We oughta get the proper description out so we can inform all of Cage of this perpetrator. Also who all were there to witness these acts?" he'd lead Mara to take a seat and give a prompt order for someone to get her some hot tea. "Also can ye describe the victim with better precision. I understand ye ain't too keen to place yer thoughts there, but the faster we can get all this information down, the higher the odds we can do something about it."

*Reading the reporst and the testimonies, Mashanie heads into the Harmonium archives, searching for records that might indicate the offenders claim, an orphanage or chldren's shelter being destroyed within the Cage premises*

Report - Upon further questioning, the name of the victim was identified as Kavya. She is a fiend with wings similar to a bat.

Addendum from Mashanie - Have myself interviewed witness Mara Raven, she confirmed the facts in her previous testimony, also added two interesting observations from the witnesses of the incident. One, the victim appeared to be under the influence of strong magic, none of the present arcanists were able to penetrate it. Second, the assailent herself was using magical means beyond anyones power. The witness theorized that the magic on the victim might have been a means to disguise her as a fiend, so the assailant has a valid excuse for the execution. One notion which I don't personally share, but found noteworthy to mention.
