I'm sorry to trouble you, but one Aurixkonari of the Golden Claw, who has identified himself as the Battlemaster of a group called Sigurd's Slayers, wishes to speak about a possible alliance with the Harmonium. He claims the group is working towards peace and good, and I informed him that I did not have the power to make a decision such as this.
Notary Pepper Harowe was also present for the meeting.
Signed,
Measure Annavkah Morovin

Measure Annavkah Morovin, you may present the case to me. Seek me in my office at the times posted on the duty roster. You may bring along Aurixkonari of the Golden Claw if you deem it wise.

Ladies, Sirs,
our faction faced many troubles in the last few weeks, some of our allies growing more distant, other factions opposing us openly.
Nevertheless I have been approached by Factor Ta'Kan from the Believers of the Source offering her and her faction's assistance.
While an offer from that direction is surprising and might be taken with a pinch of salt I still decided to forward it to you for evaluation.
In short we are offered the assistance of Godsmen crafters, casters and sages in our investigations, freeing us from the need to depend on the Guvners for this kind of work.
We are also offered good deals on new weapons and equipment, making us less dependent on the Armoury.
I want to remind you that during the Far realm crisis the cooperation with the godsmen was very useful so I suggest to review this offer closely to see how our faction can prosper on it.

The first response that Hograth receives is a quick note acknowledging the acceptance of his letter, and the promise that it would be discussed. A few days later, he receives the following, more complete, reply:
wrote: Measure Thorn,
Please extend the warm regards of the Harmonium to Factor Kala Ta'Kan, and inform her that we would like to discuss her offer of arms and armor further. The Godsmen would be a far preferable source of supplies to the Doomguard.
However, we are concerned about the rumors that Factor Ta'Kan has been courting favor with the Doomguard, as well as her recent political stance. So while we are thankful for her offer of the aid of casters and sages, such is not necessary at this time. As you noted in your letter, we already receive such aid from other factions in the Triad, and the Harmonium has no wish to strain relations within the Triad further.
Thank you for acting as liaison between the Harmonium and Godsmen in this matter, Measure Thorn, and please continue to do so.
Regards,
Mover Tallfellow,
on behalf of the Harmonium Movers

Sir ((or Lady? Hograth will know)),
Factor Ta'Kan renews her offer about the Godsmen to support us with personell and in a gesture of good faith she also revealed details about a Doomguard-Taker alliance. The Fated plan to tax the Doomguards less, the Doomguards perhaps even planning an embargo against us.
The godsmen were approached by the Fated as well but the Factor prefers us to the Doomguard and so approached me with this renewed offer for cooperation.
Of course we just recently broke an embargo and if the contracts I have brokered for weapons and the like with two primes should be still in effect we should do well even if the Doomguards get their plans in motion- especially as none of our enemies yet know much about this alternative sources.
Overall I suggest to keep an eye on this, both our faction's taxation and also the weapons recieved from the Doomguards.
If the taxation turns against us I suggest to turn to our opponents enemies and our own allies to turn the votes about the splitting of the tax money in the Hall of Speakers to our favour.
Getting the Godsmen closer to the Triad as a whole might be profitable but it has to be done subtly, as rivalries exist. Even if they are assuming a neutral stance it is something we can work with.

wrote: Measure Thorn,
You are correct, bringing the Godsmen closer to the Triad would be advantageous. You are authorized to make a deal with the Godsmen for weapons, armor, and whatever other supplies they are offering. Another supplier in Sigil itself would be useful, and as I indicated before, breaking all ties - even remote ones - with the Doomguard is high on our priority list.
Our stance on Godsmen personel being involved in investigations or other strictly-Triad business remains the same. Allowing sensitive information about current cases to fall into the hands of any non-Triad faction would be a serious security breach, and we have ample support from the Mercykillers and Fraternity should we require it in investigations. Please indicate to Factor Ta'Kan that this is not on the table for discussion.

Mover Edmund Tallfellow

Hograth is pleased with the answer, penning a short note.
wrote: Sir,
I made this stance already clear to the Factor as is both reflects official faction policies as well as my personal opinion.
Nevertheless I decided to forward the offer unaltered and neutral without adding my personal opinion too much.
If I may voice a personal opinion I want to add that sharing sensitive information or including other non Triad factions in our investigations is something that should be done only in dire emergencies and if it is done it shall be done in a strict 'has to know' basis, filtering the content revealed thoroughly.
